Chapter 161 - CHAPTER 161

Caesar Pirates' Training and Growth

Time passed swiftly. On a deserted island deep in the sea, the Caesar Pirates had been stationed there for nearly half a month.

During this time, none of the crew had rested. Each member was immersed in rigorous training, honing their individual skills.

Regina, Griffin, and Kyle, who had consumed Devil Fruits half a month ago, had grown accustomed to their respective abilities through relentless practice. They could now seamlessly integrate their newfound powers into their combat techniques.

At this moment, the three of them were training near the Rex, their ship, focusing on refining their Devil Fruit control. Hades, Brad, Barrett, and the others were also engaged in combat drills nearby, occasionally assisting their crewmates in mastering their abilities.

Meanwhile, Caesar stood floating above the sea, not far from the island's coastline.

A black blade rested in his grip, shimmering with an ominous purple light—a manifestation of his gravitational force. The air around him grew heavy, distorting as if bending under immense pressure.

Suddenly, Caesar unleashed his Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki), his gaze piercing through the sky. Sensing something approaching from above, he raised his black sword and swung it with overwhelming force.

A dark purple slash cleaved through the sky like a celestial rift.

Lowering his Ba Dao, Caesar levitated back onto a jagged rock formation. His arms folded behind his back, his expression calm, as though awaiting an arrival.

A few seconds later, an eerie, distant roar echoed from above.

---

A Meteor Descends

"Hades, did you hear that?" Brad, who was engaged in endurance training with Hades, suddenly stopped, his brows furrowed.

"Eh? Hear what?" Hades responded, puzzled.

Brad's expression grew serious. "Something's coming… and it's getting louder."

At that moment, the winds howled violently, their intensity rising. Even Amicell and Olga, who had been aboard the Rex, could now hear the sound distinctly.

Everyone training near the ship halted, looking around in confusion.

"LOOK AT THE SKY!!"

A sudden exclamation from Griffin and Kyle snapped everyone's attention upward.

A blazing red streak tore through the heavens—a meteor, descending at incredible speed. Its fiery tail burned like a dragon's breath as it roared towards the ocean.

The once-distant black speck grew larger, soon reaching the size of a football, then even larger. The intense heat distorted the air around it, and a crushing sense of impending impact filled the surroundings.

The crew's faces twisted in shock.

"That thing… it's coming right for us!"

The meteor's trajectory was unmistakable—it was hurtling toward the sea near the island where the Caesar Pirates were stationed.

---

Caesar's Display of Power

In the blink of an eye, the blazing rock tore through the atmosphere, its impact imminent.

But none of the crew moved.

Their eyes locked onto Caesar, who stood calmly above the waves, motionless.

Just moments ago, they had seen his purple slash shoot into the sky—had he caused this? If so, they trusted him to stop it.

As the meteor plunged toward the sea, Caesar did not flinch.

When it was mere meters from impact, a silver gravitational field radiated from his body, expanding outward in powerful ripples.

Instantly, the meteor halted in midair, suspended tens of meters above the water.

Despite the rock's sudden stop, the force of its descent still sent shockwaves crashing into the ocean, generating towering waves that surged outward.

Gravity had been completely neutralized within Caesar's domain. The ocean beneath him churned unnaturally—seawater, debris, and even marine life floated weightlessly into the air, caught in the sudden gravitational shift.

The sheer spectacle of it left the crew speechless.

---

Awe and Admiration

"Should I even be surprised anymore?" Griffin muttered in awe.

"Captain Caesar never fails to amaze us!" Kyle added, his tail bristling with excitement.

The others were equally stunned, watching in reverence.

But Caesar ignored their reactions. His gaze remained fixed on the floating meteorite, still ablaze with heat.

With a mere thought, his silver aura intensified, creating an immense gravitational force point at the meteor's core.

Instantly, everything within range—water, rock fragments, sea creatures—was violently drawn toward the meteorite, compressing it like an imploding star.

The once-massive celestial body shrunk and compacted, its density multiplying under Caesar's control.

"...Is this some kind of pirate version of Chibaku Tensei?" he mused to himself with amusement.

Satisfied with the results, he abruptly released his power.

Everything that had been pulled toward the meteor collapsed into the sea.

The meteor itself, now an ultra-dense, fiery mass, crashed into the ocean, sending a tsunami-like shockwave rippling outward.

However, before the waves could fully form, Caesar exerted his gravity once more, forcing the sea back into submission.

A deadly catastrophe had been effortlessly neutralized.

Had it been anyone else, the sheer physical toll would have been crippling. But Caesar stood unfazed, his control over gravity unmatched.

A small smile formed on his lips.

---

Harvesting the Sea's Riches

Without hesitation, Caesar extended his right hand.

A crimson electric current flickered in his palm before vanishing into the atmosphere.

Almost immediately, a pulling force swept across the seabed.

From deep below, metallic debris—iron, copper, silver, even traces of gold—began rising.

Countless metallic ores of varying colors swarmed toward him like a magnetic storm.

Soon, a small mountain of precious minerals had formed before him.

Observing his bounty, Caesar let out a satisfied chuckle.

"With this ability, the Caesar Pirates will never lack resources," he murmured. "Even gold is no longer out of reach."

After verifying his harvest, Caesar turned and soared back toward the Rex, where his crew had gathered.

They erupted into cheers and admiration.

"Captain Caesar! That was insane!"

"How the hell did you stop a meteor like that?!"

"Your Devil Fruit power is terrifying—it's easily on par with Whitebeard's Gura Gura no Mi!"

Caesar simply waved his hand dismissively.

"Enough chatter," he said. "I have an idea… a new kind of special training for all of you."

The crew exchanged puzzled glances.

But before they could question him, a purple gravitational field suddenly spread across the entire area—its weight pressing down upon them like an invisible force.

Realization dawned.

Caesar smirked.

"This… is how we truly get stronger."
