Hearing Kabuto's voice, everyone gathered around. Looking at the ruins in front of them, they couldn't help but feel emotional.
Orochimaru stared at the building. "So this is the Uzumaki clan's shrine? What a wreck."
Zabuza sighed. "Hard to believe that the legendary Uzumaki clan ended up like this."
Yang Tao also felt a wave of emotion. Watching the anime didn't really make him feel anything, but now that he was actually in the Naruto world, seeing this ruined place, it wasn't hard to imagine how grand it must have been in the past.
But now, even the shrine was in such a state. This was a classic case of *having something too valuable and getting destroyed for it.*
"Let's go in." Yang Tao took the lead and stepped inside. Looking at the wall full of Shinigami masks, he couldn't help but get goosebumps.
He found the right mask and handed it to Orochimaru.
???
Orochimaru was completely confused. *Why are you giving this to me? What is this thing?*
At this point, Orochimaru hadn't had his arms sealed yet, so he had never researched the *Reaper Death Seal* and had no idea what the Shinigami mask was for.
"Group leader, what is this?" Orochimaru, always willing to ask when he didn't understand something, looked at Yang Tao.
Yang Tao suddenly realized his mistake and smacked his forehead. *Right… Orochimaru hasn't even studied the Reaper Death Seal yet, so how is he supposed to exploit this bug?*
He had been too influenced by how deeply the scene of Orochimaru breaking the seal had stuck in his mind from the original story.
Yang Tao quickly explained, "My bad, I mixed some things up. No worries, let's take a break for now."
He pulled out supplies, and everyone rested inside the shrine.
Yang Tao decided to show Orochimaru the moment where he himself exploited the bug in the original timeline, to see if it would help.
He played the video, skipping straight to Orochimaru's resurrection scene, and the group watched attentively.
Once it ended, everyone had different thoughts.
Zabuza was thinking, *Damn, Orochimaru really knows how to play the game!*
Orochimaru, on the other hand, now understood exactly why Yang Tao had brought him to the Uzumaki shrine.
He picked up the mask Yang Tao had given him and began studying it.
*So this is the mask that can summon the Shinigami?* Orochimaru thought to himself. He wasn't concerned at all about seeing his own death in the video—he had left behind so many backup plans that it didn't matter.
Even though he hadn't fully studied the Reaper Death Seal, he had learned the basics. Since both the Third and Fourth Hokage knew it, he had, of course, studied it too. He had just never considered using a self-sacrificing jutsu like that, so he hadn't looked into it deeply.
But after watching himself do it in the video, he already understood how to make it work.
"Group leader, I don't have the ability to revive myself on demand yet. If I open the Shinigami's stomach to retrieve the souls, I'll die too," Orochimaru said calmly, as if he wasn't the least bit concerned about it.
Yang Tao still had plenty of use for Orochimaru and wasn't about to let him die just like that. He reached into his inventory and pulled out an *Undying Totem*, handing it over.
"Keep this with you. It can block one fatal injury and also restore your condition."
Orochimaru took the totem and examined it.
It was just a strange golden statue, nothing particularly special about it.
"Group leader, do I just need to carry this with me?"
Yang Tao could tell from Orochimaru's expression that he didn't believe it would work. Of course, that was understandable.
If he believed it so easily, he wouldn't be Orochimaru.
"Let me show you. Kabuto, catch!"
Yang Tao pulled out another totem and tossed it to Kabuto.
Kabuto caught it and froze.
???
He wasn't stupid. Right after saying he was going to test it, he handed one over—wasn't that just bullying?
Before Kabuto could react, Yang Tao pulled out a mining laser gun.
"Ready?"
He raised his hand and fired. A red laser shot straight through Kabuto's head. It was too fast to dodge.
Seeing Kabuto's head get blown apart, Orochimaru immediately got into an attack stance, ready to charge.
But then a strange sound came from Kabuto's direction. The totem in his hand suddenly floated into the air, spun once, and shattered.
The supposedly dead Kabuto opened his eyes again, and the wound on his head was completely gone.
"Orochimaru, what do you think you're doing?" Yang Tao aimed the laser gun at him, making Orochimaru feel real danger.
"Nothing. I just thought you were trying to silence us," Orochimaru said as he put away his weapon, acting as if nothing had happened.
Meanwhile, Kabuto, who had just come back to life, was frantically touching his head.
His head had been blown off just moments ago—the experience was terrifying. He had even felt his soul about to leave his body.
But then, a sudden warmth surrounded him, and the next thing he knew, he had opened his eyes again.
"Group leader, next time you want to test something, can't you use an animal instead?" Kabuto, who had just died once, never wanted to experience that again.
Yang Tao put away the laser gun. "You didn't actually die, so what's there to be afraid of?"
Why don't you try it yourself then?
"Alright, Orochimaru, you've seen how it works. Hurry up and see if you can undo the Reaper Death Seal. We still need to find Chiyo."
Orochimaru nodded. Now that he had seen the totem's power, he didn't hesitate. He put on the Shinigami mask, and a ghostly figure of the Reaper appeared behind him.
Orochimaru controlled the Reaper, making it cut open its stomach. At the same time, his own stomach was suddenly slashed open, spilling a massive amount of blood.
Orochimaru could feel the familiar presence inside the Reaper's stomach—it was none other than the soul of the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato.
As Minato's soul was released, the Reaper vanished into thin air. However, Orochimaru's life force was quickly draining away. If he didn't find a way to stop it, he would soon die.
Without any hesitation, he pulled out a ninja tool and plunged a blade straight into his heart.
The Immortal Totem shattered once again in front of everyone's eyes, and a completely unharmed Orochimaru reappeared.
"Amazing," he muttered, licking his lips with a sinister look.
