I was in no mood to shop anymore.
Turning to Sanaya, I said quietly, "She was talking about Auron… his achievements. What have I done? What happened in my past life here? I want to know."
All three of them looked at me—shocked, hesitant. Like I'd just touched a wound none of them wanted to open.
But Sanaya was the first to nod.
"All right," she said softly. "Let's have a cup of coffee. Shopping's exhausting anyway."
She smiled and gently took my hand. Without another word, we left the building together.
We went inside a beautiful café and took a table by the window. Shanaya ordered a cup of coffee, and the others ordered their drinks. Shanaya suggested a drink for me because I clearly didn't know what these drinks were or what was in them.
As we waited for our drinks to arrive, I looked at all of them.
"So, start speaking," I said.
Shania took a deep breath and asked,
"What do you want to know? About Auron? About your past years?"
