The site, without all the workers, was uncomfortably silent. Emily and I had been waiting in our car for the past two hours since it was the only place with a little warmth compared to the biting cold outside, which could freeze you if you weren't bundled up properly.
"Let me see if the cargo has arrived," I said to Emily while taking my binoculars from the car's dashboard. Stepping outside, I walked towards the port, descending the stairs before holding my binoculars up to my eyes.
After this long two-hour wait, I finally spotted a tiny dot-like object moving in our direction. I was sure it must be the ship we had been waiting for. Judging by the distance, it would take another hour or two to reach the port.
Since I had confirmed its arrival, I walked back to the car and told Emily, "Let's go and sit inside the cabin. We don't need to wait here in the car anymore."
"Alright, let's go," she replied.
