Chapter 24 - The Difference Between Humans and Fishmen

"Hmph!"

Before Arlong could respond, the fishman Kuroobi let out a cold snort and stepped forward impatiently.

"Cunning human!"

"No matter what you say, if you want to challenge Arlong, you have to defeat me first!"

The moment his words fell—

Kuroobi shot toward Will at high speed, planting his feet firmly before drawing his fists back, preparing to strike.

Fishman Karate: Hundred Tile True Punch!

With his strength fully gathered, Kuroobi aimed at Will's chest and launched a powerful punch.

Boom!

However, despite the full force of the strike, Will's body did not budge an inch.

"What?!"

Kuroobi froze for a moment before his face contorted in shock. "Impossible!"

Will felt no pain at all, only a slight itch on his chest.

Expressionless, he calmly remarked, "Put some strength into it."

Kuroobi snapped back to his senses, then roared angrily and charged up another punch.

"DIE! Thousand Tile True Punch!!"

Boom!!

Yet even with this enhanced strike to Will's abdomen, there was still no effect.

Will furrowed his brows as he analyzed the force of the blow, then remarked with evident disappointment: "You call yourselves stronger than humans, yet you can't even throw a decent punch?"

"Damn you! Don't insult us fishmen!!"

Enraged, Kuroobi swung again with all his might.

But this time, his fist never landed.

Instead, it was caught mid-air by Will's single hand, effortlessly stopping the attack in its tracks.

Kuroobi panicked and tried to pull back, but his fist wouldn't budge, as if it had been embedded into solid steel.

Will, having fully gauged his opponent's strength, felt nothing but disappointment.

He stared at the twin-braided fishman before him and said coldly:

"Today, I'll teach you something."

"Humans and fishmen are not the same."

"You hit me, and I'm fine. But if I hit you, you die."

The moment he finished speaking—

Will released Kuroobi's fist, and with his free hand, he suddenly lashed out, leaving a flickering afterimage in the air between them!

Iron Body: Instant Strike!

Boom!

A dull impact echoed as Will's fist lightly touched Kuroobi's chest before swiftly withdrawing.

Kuroobi stood frozen in place.

Then, in an instant, he felt his heart violently rupture inside his body with a deafening thud.

An indescribable agony shot through him, making his entire body convulse uncontrollably.

The latent force within his chest suddenly erupted, sending him hurtling backward with his feet leaving the ground.

Crash!

Smashing through several unlucky fishmen in his trajectory, Kuroobi crashed into the perimeter wall, shattering it completely before being flung out of the courtyard.

Amidst the settling dust, he lay motionless.

Will remained expressionless, calmly lowering his hand.

The gathered fishmen, however, were completely stunned, their mouths agape as they stared in disbelief.

Even Arlong's expression grew uncertain.

Not even he could have taken Kuroobi's punches so effortlessly—

Much less dispose of him with a single blow.

Yet, one fishman wasn't thinking that deeply.

Octopus Hatchan, in a daze, suddenly snapped back to reality as he saw his comrade Kuroobi sent flying by this damn human.

Fury twisted his face as he raised his six swords, shouting furiously:

"You bastard! Now you've really pissed me off!"

Then, as if talking to himself, he declared, "Don't underestimate me! Each of these swords weighs 300 kilograms!"

"Way heavier than the puny weapons you humans use, you damn idiot!"

With that, Hatchan swiftly brought all six blades together, merging them into a single lethal point aimed directly at Will.

"Six-Sword Style: Octopus Jar Attack!"

"New Year's Strike!"

The moment he finished shouting, Hatchan lunged forward like a charging spear.

But just as he took his stance, Will had already lifted his right leg.

Tempest Kick: Vacuum Shot!

The instant Hatchan moved, Will's leg flickered as he unleashed a pale blue, razor-sharp air slash straight ahead.

The energy wave streaked toward Hatchan at a speed surpassing his own charge.

Seeing the approaching azure light, a flicker of fear appeared in Hatchan's eyes—but it was too late to evade.

Slash!

The instant the energy wave made contact, it shattered all six of Hatchan's swords effortlessly—

Then, without losing momentum, it pierced straight through his chest.

Hatchan didn't even have time to register the pain before he coughed up a massive spray of blood.

His body slumped to its knees, all six arms falling limply to the sides.

Trembling, he slowly looked down at his chest and muttered weakly, "Such... a big... hole..."

Then, his body collapsed to the ground, his eyes losing their light.

Yet Will paid him no further attention.

Instead, his gaze locked onto a figure near the pool.

A fishman was desperately gulping down water, his belly swelling rapidly.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Arlong seemed to be gearing up as well.

Without hesitation, Will struck first—his leg snapping forward and slamming against the ground in Arlong's direction.

Tempest Kick: Ground Walker!

A blue energy slash surged forward along the earth, cleaving through soil and stone alike as it sped toward Arlong.

Paper Drawing: Phantom Step!

As Arlong dodged the incoming attack, Will used the distraction to blur his movements, slipping into his opponent's blind spot.

The fishman Chew had been cautiously watching Will while continuing to gulp down water.

But the moment Will attacked Arlong, Chew instinctively blinked.

And in that instant, Will vanished from his sight.

"Huh? Where'd he go?!"

Startled, Chew immediately stopped drinking and stood up in confusion—completely unaware that someone was right behind him.

"Look out! Dodge!!"

Arlong, having evaded the previous attack, immediately noticed the danger and bellowed with a twisted expression.

Soft Palm: Brain Shock!

But Will gave Chew no time to react.

His hands struck out, pressing sharply against both sides of Chew's temples.

A special force penetrated his skull, making his brain violently tremble inside his head.

In the next instant—

Blood burst from Chew's seven orifices, his eyes instantly dulling as his arms drooped lifelessly.

His body toppled into the pool.

With his belly full of water, he sank rapidly to the bottom, disappearing beneath the surface.
