Takashi left a little upset not that I cared very much or at all if I was being honest but it was amusing. However not even fifteen minutes after Takashi left someone else was at the door. Yui thought it was Takashi again as he possibly forgot something as it wasn't clear why he was here in the first place. When Yui opened the door instead of the boy that ran off embarrassed it was Rei and I saw the slight frown on Yui's face that quickly disappeared. Yui didn't want to seem petty and had no reason to close the door in Rei's although she wanted to do it so but I was there.
Yui: Rei what brings you by?
Rei: I... just wanted to.... see if your friend is here
"I am do you need something from me?"
Rei: I just wanted to ask if you were the one everyone is talking about?
Yui: Rei that is a bit rude ask...
"It's fine and possibly although I asked them not to mention it but thinking about it now it was inevitable that some would start to talk"
Rei: My mom mentioned that a lot of people were talking about the rich foreigner that gives out money and gold to pretty girls. You don't really give away gold do you that's just an exaggerated rumor right?
"If you are wondering why I didn't give you any gold yesterday even though you are very pretty it's because I didn't have it on me. If you're willing to wait for me to get to my car..."
Rei: OH! No, I didn't mean...
"It's fine I always intended to give you some gold it's a family tradition to give beautiful women gold when they have been good to the men in my family"
She tried to deny it but seeing that I only gave her a small piece of gold compared to what I gave Yui right in front of her made her jealous. I gave Yui an elaborate gold necklace with diamonds that looked like it belongs to royalty rather than as the simple gift I made it seem. I even made a show of putting it on for her making Yui feel smug and glance at Rei with a smirk. I don't think I will ever understand why women constantly need to show up one another even their friends. I only cared that Rei seemed to care and clearly wanted a reason to try and earn a better gift somehow without being obvious.
As I was chatting pretending not to notice Rei's jealousy an expensive car pulled up behind my car and out stepped Souichiro Takagi. I didn't think much of it as he possibly here Takashi but when he started walking directly to me only glancing at the girls in their silent war I gave him my attention.
Mr. Takagi: Good morning, would you happen to be the gentleman making various donations around the city.
"Yes, I am is there some issue that I should be aware of? Am I not allowed to make such donations or is there some procedures that I missed?"
Mr. Takagi: Nothing like that, I was wondering if you could hear me out and possibly help with an issue affecting everyone here
"Of course, I imagine that this might be a delicate issue otherwise we would be discussing now. Where do you want to have this discussion?"
Mr. Takagi: Would tonight at my home be too inconvenient? I will also have a car sent to pick you up
"No, that's fine is there a particular attire required for the occasion? I would rather not come under dressed.
It was still early so I decided to spend time with Yui and Rei invited herself much to my pleasure and to Yui's ire. It did make me wonder where was her boyfriend that she was supposed to have? I remember it was Takashi's bro that was a year younger weren't they supposed to be an item? Did they only get together at the tail end of the break? I know Takashi was a dense idiot and didn't realize that she was going through some stuff which is why she was pissed at him. Takashi treated her like she was supposed just go along with their childhood promise without any effort on his end and was surprised when she moved on.
Yui spent time trying to take me to adult only setting to shake off Rei but there aren't really many things exclusively for adult in the morning to do. Rei tried to suggesting a few places but some didn't allow foreigners and were Japanese only places. I found it amusing how they completed against each other so I let them lead. As it became closer to the evening I had to part ways as I had to prepare for my dinner meeting.
