"Welcome to the latest episode of Interviews with the Unusual! Today, we have three special guests! Wait… Where are they?"
As the host glanced around, a faceless figure tapped his shoulder.
"WAAAAAH—?!"
"Heh heh heh!"
Gengar, Haunter, and Gastly materialized with mischievous cackles.
"So? What do you think?" Ash watched their antics from the control room, grinning. Beside him, the hired comedy coach nodded. "They're naturals. Their Pokémon quirks add way more flair than humans could!"
When Haunter pulled a "bomb" from its mouth, blowing smoke in Gengar and the host's faces, the coach sighed. "Okay, that part wasn't my idea…"
Post-recording, Ash walked back with Sabrina, who struggled to contain her laughter. The ghost trio happily returned to their renovated Pokémon Tower, buzzing from their debut.
"Ash, will Gengar's group keep doing comedy?" Sabrina asked, still giggling.
"Yep! You can visit them anytime. I'll take you and Misty later—it's a hoot."
"Can't wait!"
Back at Sabrina's home, Ash fetched Misty and led them to the tower. Gengar's crew welcomed them eagerly, and the group spent hours playing in the newly added mini-amusement park.
Pulling Gengar aside, Ash whispered, "Sabrina… didn't have much fun growing up. She might visit often. Look after her, okay?"
"Gengar! Gengar!" The ghost lit up—Sabrina's psychic aura was perfect for their pranks.
Before leaving, Ash installed Team Rocket's subspace warp tiles for easy access between the tower and Saffron City. At the gym's entrance, he bid farewell.
"Call if anything comes up! And Gengar—take good care of Sabrina!"
"GENGAR!"
Sabrina suddenly hugged Ash. "Don't forget to message me… or I'll turn you into a doll."
"Wouldn't dare!"
As they departed, Misty remarked, "Sabrina seems… happier now."
"Yeah. She trained her psychic powers nonstop as a kid. No friends, no fun. One day, she teleported into my secret base in Viridian Forest and stumbled on me goofing off with my Pokémon. Gary got roped in too—still mad I hung him upside-down for a 'clown photoshoot.'"
"So that's how you two met?!"
"Hey, everyone does dumb stuff as a kid."
Back at the gym, Sabrina showed Gengar her most treasured photo: a young her smiling with an Abra, a half-masked Ash, Pokémon with painted faces, and a dangling, scowling Gary.
"My happiest memory. A girl who could teleport anywhere… found a boy playing clown with Pokémon in the woods. His first words to me?"
"A surprise audience! Thanks for laughing. I'm Ash. Wanna join?"
"I'm Sabrina. Will you… play with me?"
"Obviously!"
Smiling, Sabrina tucked the photo away. On her finger gleamed a ring.
