Caleb
As much as it was fun being on the road and getting to know my team better, there is nothing as amazing as coming back home.
It was five in the morning when I arrived and the whole house was still asleep. Sneaking into my room, I can't wait to fall right back to sleep.
But my bed smells like Sky. Her chocolate vanilla scent is intoxicating, making me miss her despite only seeing her a few days ago. I fell asleep to her scent and the thought of asking her out on a date.

Having wet dreams was a thing of the past,
Or so I thought.
But when I lift up my covers and see the wet stains on my boxers, I can't help but groan out loud.
And the reason for my current condition is Sky. I can still feel the aftermath of the sexy dream I had of her.
Not wanting to lag behind in my classes, I got a quick cold shower and filed the dream to be reviewed later.
"How does it feel to play for the New York bulls?" Arthur, one of the hockey defense players and my coursemate whispers.
"It's pretty amazing and at the same time so humbling," I reply.
I am still riding on a high after playing my first ever professional game. It felt so great and rewarding that I was actually thankful for everything I went through to get there.
But nothing can beat the feel of receiving your first check when you were barely managing. The money wasn't that much but definitely enough to keep me going for a while.
I spent the rest of the class half focused, my mind bouncing between the game on Friday and finishing what we started Friday night with Sky.
It was lunchtime by the time I got to see Sky. She was in the cafeteria selling her amazing cake pops. I stood behind the line watching her work and the little smiles that she gave everyone. She looked beyond gorgeous dressed in a white a crop top and black cargo pants, with sneakers to match. She held her hair back in two plaited lines, large hoops dangling on her ears and a red glossy paint on her lips.
Did I feel like a stalker lurking about in the darkness?
Yes I did.
Would I stop?
No chance in hell.
I continued watching her, feeling like I was a freshman in high school scared to say hey to a beautiful girl in my class, until Mark came up to her, talked for a beat then they parked up and left the cafeteria.
I had the urge to follow her and just listen to her talk or watch how her eyes lit up when she talked about what she liked.
Instead I forced myself to head back to the house and get started on playing a date for us.
"Hi grandpa, still at work?" I decided to talk to my grandpa as I headed back.
"Hello kiddo, no I am at home. I just have one last patient for the day"
"That's good, there's no need to push yourself so hard now that I -"
"Am gonna stop you right there child. That money you are earning is yours not ours. Use it to get yourself what I couldn't afford to give you,"
"But you did give me the necessary and it's only right that I help you out and make sure you have a smooth retirement,"
"Retirement? Who is retiring? I am still a young lad," I laugh at that.
"Of course grandpa, you are," I can hear his smile through the call.
"How is that little lady of yours?"
"What lady?" I haven't told him about Sky yet.
"Luca was here on Sunday gushing about 'the girl who has you hooked', or is he wrong?" I can hear the tease in his voice.
"Am going to kill him" I say as I enter and make my way towards Luca's room.
"Don't kill him, who will give me all the gossip?" He is full of laughter.
"I can't promise anything," a little smile reaches my corner at how happy he is.
I wouldn't kill Luca just give him a hard time. He and Grandpa are so close and it was only a matter of time before he went running his mouth.
I stand in front of Lucas' door as I say goodbye to my grandfather before budging into his room.
"You son of a b-," I stop dead in my truck.
In front of me is Luca lying on his back, hands groping boobs that belong to Sky who is on top of him and stopped mid grind.
My anger levels are rising quickly. How dare he? He knows I like her but still went ahead and did her! And how could she? I thought our kiss meant something.
"Tf man?" Luca screams. He's trying to cover her up.
"You must be Caleb," her voice comes out as a deep rumble but does not bother covering up just stares at me head on.
Really looking at her I notice that she is not Sky. Her eyes are hazel not ocean blue, her hair is just blonde with streaks of brown while Sky's is strawberry blonde and her voice is different, not to mention Sky has some shyness surrounding her, this one looks like a fox ready to strike.
"Get the fuck out," Luca yells throwing me a pillow making me notice I had been staring and I quickly get out of there closing the door behind me.
"Why did you chase him away? Maybe he wanted to join us," I hear her laugh trailing behind me as I speed walk to my room.

I stand in the middle of the ice rink waiting for Sky. She was already nineteen minutes late and I was starting to get more nervous that she wouldn't show.
I thought it would be romantic to have our first date where we meet. Not on the locker rooms side, that side wrecks sweat after practice but on the ice.
The place is quiet after the players cleared out and looks beautiful under the half lit lights. With Mark's and Lucas' help we managed to set up a table with two wooden chairs. The table is dressed in a crisp white linen cloth, with candles flickering in glass holders, casting warm light onto a simple yet beautiful pine and holly centerpiece. Atop the table, two steaming plates of rich, cheesy lasagna rest beside a basket of warm, crusty bread. A bottle of deep red wine sits between the plates, half poured into two crystal glasses catching the golden candlelight. With soft music playing in the background.
Nothing extravagant, just simple and I hope that she likes it, my nerves can't seem to settle.
The scraping of ice pulls my attention towards the entry. Sky is at the entrance skating towards me, wearing a midnight blue satin cocktail dress, a fitted bodice with a plunging V-neckline and thin spaghetti straps. The skirt is flaring, and she has paired it with a long, dangling silver necklace and earrings to match.
"Hey," her breath comes out breathless.
"Hi," I can't help but mirror her actions as my hand starts rubbing at my left forearm as she takes in the area.
"This looks great, Caleb," she gives me a small smile.
"Am glad you like it," I pulled out a chair for her before skating to my seat.
"Of course I would, where did you get this idea?" I laugh at this.
"What makes you think it's not mine?" I play dumb.
"Am pretty sure if it was up to you, the date would have been either watching hockey games or playing video games,"
"Hey! It could have also been a trip to the gym," I can't stop myself from chuckling especially after she joins in.
We dig into our food, as we continue talking and throwing jokes.
