"I'm Nyxoria's cousin and King Vyr's daughter," Nasa said sweetly, forcing a smile. "We've met before, my Emperor. Remember?"
Tharros didn't even blink. His voice was cold and sharp. "The only person worth remembering is Nyxoria." He paused for a heartbeat, almost adding and 'my mother', but held it back. "And when people of importance are talking, you shut up."
Nasa's face flushed with embarrassment. Before she could stammer out a reply, King Vyr quickly stepped in, bowing his head. "I am so sorry, my Emperor. Please, forgive her foolishness."
Tharros didn't bother responding to Vyr. Instead, his dark eyes snapped back to Nasa. "Get out," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Nasa bowed down once again and practically ran out of the Grand Throne Room, her face burning with humiliation. The heavy doors slammed shut behind her, echoing through the hall.
Vyr let out a nervous breath. "I apologize again for her behavior, my Emperor. I'll make sure she's properly… cautioned."
