As the Awakening ceremony concludes Tian leaves for his room to explore his memories. He was found as a baby outside the orphanage doors by the care takers in the morning. It is unknown if he was there whole night or not, he didn't cry like a normal child. He was a very quiet child as a result he was treated as a outcast by other kids at the orphanage. After going through the robotic 6 years of his life Tian Di Zun opened his eyes.
After his martial soul awakened his eye color changed and there is a green shade with a hint of silver glow in the center barely noticeable even with keen eyes. That might also be the reason his sight has improved slightly compared to earth. He calls forth his martial soul and this time he transforms into a Giant snake with length of 5 meters and body just over 70 cm wide.
He also has innate ability of his martial soul called partial possession that will do well with his martial arts. The soul power consumption is slightly less and will enhance his physical abilities, he can also use poison in this form, though not as strong as in full possession.
He noticed he has two types of vision, his normal and thermal vision like snakes. His eyes also seem to give a strange feel when looked at possibly hypnosis effect of some snake (not to confuse with a spiritual ability like 'charm' of xiao wu or hu liena) that makes his target in a daze when looking into his eyes.
Another things is his soul power also seems to have a unique property of poison. If he fights someone equally strong like 50/50 he can win as long as the fight drags on long enough. His soul power contains small amount of paralysis poison initially not fatal to soul master but prolong exposure continues to slow down their movements and soul power circulation.
Now, the reason he hid his true power to become average joe is to buy time. First he doesn't want to become dog of either empire or the spirit hall. Second he wants a strong body to absorb higher age soul ring. And finally third he needs to figure out If this world is same or alternate enough to throw his future knowledge in garbage.
2 days later:
In this remote place commoners will do a lot of ass licking if you have soul power. With innate level 5 I'm considered a genius. Thanks to that I got a separate room in the orphanage and scholarship to primary academy, Not like that drunkard's assassin son who has to work. I will have free food and small resources for 6 years. I should get a spirit ring within 2 years that should be enough for me to develop some martial arts and strengthen my body.
My muscles structures have changed a little to more softness and flexibility, Especially when in partial transformation my bones seem to become like a whip.
When someone posses their martial soul their muscle and bone change in accordance to their martial soul. Unlike the anime, here martial souls aren't aura constructs that cover the body, they literally transform into animals and beast. It is different for tools spirits, they can wield them, same with plant spirit they don't become a plant but summon them.
That may also be the reason for classifying plant type martial soul in tool classification. There are commonly 3 types of classification.
1. Beast type martial soul
2. Tool type martial soul
3. Food type martial soul
And the not well known in this era, 4. Body type martial soul.
When I was young and had passionate soul I learned few martial arts like Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. These 2 years, I will train my body and dedicate to create a new fighting style that incorporates my new snake like constitution. I also have water/ice attribute, if I can incorporate water attribute to my soul power like poison does automatically while fighting I might be able to create that badass old man's technique "Water stream rock smashing fist".
Time skip 2 years :
I've underestimated my martial arts talent. In the first month, trying to create water stream rock smashing fist I gained enlightenment watching fishes swim in water. I decided to abuse that shit and successfully created my original martial arts called poison stream rock eroding fist.
Flashback:
Beside a small spring that flows to a river, I'm watching few fishes swim to relax after my training which is just saitama training with some weight adjusted according to my need.
Anyway I'm watching the little fishes and thinking how delicious it would be for dinner. And suddenly I started to notice their movement, No not notice but understand it.
I start to murmur absent minded 'Their bodies glided through the water with such grace, making sharp turns and swift darts with seemingly little effort, they surrender to the water current and control the flow to their advantage, move where they want even when the water is forcing them in the opposite directions' and BAM!! enlightenment, I immediately start to practice my understanding.
A few days later I'm using the technique like I've been using it for years. Must be the laws of cultivation, otherwise a few words and watching fish wouldn't make my progress this fast.
After that incident I seem to understand the flow of the universe or something. When someone throws something at me I can understand the weight, velocity and how much force is required to stop the object almost instinctively. Though not perfect it will be better with more experience.
Flashback End:
Even though the name is only half-original, its a very powerful skill and perhaps only I can use it to full potential. I fused Water stream, whip strike(baki), Poison infused soul power and muscle relaxation technique to create this.
I've trained my body to satisfactory level. I grin looking at my 4 feet 5 inches height at 8 years old. My body has grown a lot stronger than my earth self, in fact I'm physically stronger than 95% of athlete in my previous life and none would be faster than me. My reaction speed is off the charts and striking speed at close range is even more fast.
This version like the original technique that reflects the opponent's strength back to them by using a flowing counter movement, does the same with more snake like limbs' flexibility and poisoned strikes that paralyzes them slowly like eroding their fighting powers over time. As my poison grows stronger so does this technique.
I can remove the poison attribute in my soul power to let the water attribute mix but it takes more focus and mental energy.
So the water stream with water attributed soul power is usable in combat but is quite taxing to mind but surprisingly it consumes less than half stamina compared to poison stream even when using same amount of soul power.
So I decided to use Water stream R.S.F with water attributed soul power for Defense and Counter.
Poison Stream Rock Eroding Fist for offense and for General purpose like spar or training, Water s.r.s.fist without any attributes.
The reason PSREF(poison stream rock eroding fist) takes more stamina is due to its more offensive nature that I developed by mixing other martial arts. And I also my body and mind co-ordination isn't in perfect sync. My reaction speed, vision and strike speed are too fast for my physical body to keep up. Apparently a snake can strike up to 4 times faster than our eyes can blink if in a correct position to attack.
So If a snake is in your chest and looking at you don't blink if you do it would already have bitten your face by the time you open your eyes and I'm faster than an average snake.
I suspect no one under level 20 can defeat me, only exception are like ranged restraining skills where my physical body can't reach like sky and mental attack. After my first soul ring this will become even more true.
Tang san when 6 was already physically as strong as a normal adult, Since I have a beast martial soul I thought I should reach that level even without that mysterious meditation technique within 2 years but the result was better than I expected, I am far stronger.
Ancient arts can't compare to Modern martial arts that have evolved through years and advanced medical knowledge. They only looked stronger due to supernatural energy, add that to modern arts and a man becomes a walking weapon.
3rd pov :
Far away 100's of km from the peaceful life at vast sea city, The Fated one of the honoured is looking out the window wondering if she will ever be free from this shackles of responsibility and live a better life. While her long purple black hair that reaches mid back flows along the wind she hears a voice of a person she worries about the most. "Sister, where are you?" she smiles a little showing her genuine smile to only person she truly loves in that family. Through the door a little head peaks out barely 4 years old showing his yet to fully develop set of teeth.
"What mischief are you thinking again?" she asks. The boy pouts a little as if he was wronged. "what are you taking about I did nothing" and continues to smile "anyway sis I saw something amazing today". She shakes her head and looks out the window muttering sadly " till when can we truly smile like this?" alas no can can answer her.
