Ethan's face turned redder with anger, and he repeated, his voice low and menacing:
"I said I don't know, can't you hear that!"
Alex chuckled softly, clearly entertained by Ethan's loss of control.
The other men behind him exchanged curious glances, wondering what could have humbled their usually feared friend.
Alex took another step closer, his voice lowering to a teasing tone:
"Come on, Ethan. You're the 'king' of our school. Someone must have really crossed a line..."
Ethan didn't say anything, just clenched his fist and glared at Alex angrily.
Alex sighed this time seriously.
He then asked in a really serious tone:
"I'm serious Ethan, tell me how did all this happen? We'll figure out who it was later!"
Ethan also frowned seriously, took a light gulp, and said in a low and cold voice:
"I was with her... playing with her...
(Suddenly his mind flashed: 'I was so close to her that day I...I almost kissed her...')
