Fu Ling went back to the system space and after seeing the familiar surrounding, he managed to calm down his slightly depressed heart. He had been working like an Android on a program since Gu Lian died in that world and didn't give himself a chance to think. He just did what he thought Gu Lian would have liked.
He lived for eighteen years in his world and more than a thousand years combined in the mission worlds and had never fallen in love. He wasn't sure if what he feels for Chaos is love but he's willing to confirm it. They have enough time. And besides, Chaos is his person now. He took away his first kiss so he has to be responsible.
Fu Ling settled his emotions and had the system intiate the transfer to the next world.
The first thing he noticed was the smell. Alcohol, cigarettes and various different perfumes had blended together to form a slightly unpleasant smell.
Just then, his head began to throb faintly. It was completely bearable. Lighter than that of the previous would and he doubted he would have noticed if not for someone screaming in his ear to take another drink.
He looked towards the side with displeasure and spit out two words
"Shut up"
He didn't raise his voice but those words reverberated in every corner of the private room. The originally noisy atmosphere quieted down and everyone looked at him.
Fu Ling didn't pay attention to their stares and leaned back on the sofa to receive the world plot.
After seeing that he didn't say anything else, the merriment continued but they were obviously much more cautious.
The development of this world was like that of the previous one.
This was a story about a pair of true and false young masters. The original body is the false young master who was held wrongly at birth.
The part of the plot Fu Ling met was the calm before the storm as this is the day they find out about the switch. The original owner didn't know so as usual, he drunk himself to stupor and went back home only to find an unfamiliar person in his room. He was dissatisfied and questioned his parents to which they responded coldly.
After finding out the cause and effect, he decisively chooses to cut off all contact with them and leave. Because of the previous relationship, they helped him go abroad and he settled down nicely there but the real young master didn't want to let him go and insisted on targeting him everywhere. Without the protective of the Fu family he became like a fish on a chopping board and this young master attacked him as he liked and he ended up dying in a foreign country.
The Fu family covered up for him so when the people at home found out, they only lamented that a child died too soon. Some of the more shrewd people might have noticed something but what did it have to do with them?
The original owner never targeted the protagonist but that person's own inferiority made him hate the person who occupied his life for over twenty years. But if you want to blame someone, why not blame the hospital who made the accident.
The Fu family investigated deeply and it really was just an accident. It didn't have anything to do with the other family.
The original owner went abroad and never got to meet his biological parents but Fu Ling wouldn't do that. From the time the protagonist was living with them down till when he left, he never showed them any filial piety and was always complaining about their standard of living while knowing fully well they were doing their best.
After he recognized the Fu family, he couldn't wait to move out and never see those people again.
After accepting the memory of this body he excused himself from the private room and went to the bathroom. He stood in front of the mirror and looked at his clear face. He splashed a bit of water to wake himself up and planned to stay in a hotel for the night. There was someone occupying his room anyways so there's no need to bother going back.
He picked up a paper towel to dry his face when the bathroom door was pushed open. He turned around and looked at that person in surprise.
Countless emotions tended to overwhelm him. From joy, to relief to disbelief to apprehension. But he didn't feel on any of them and rushed up to hug the man.
"Gu Lian"
He didn't check the information about Chaos because he didn't want to stay in that room any longer but he had the same feeling when he saw Gu Lian in the previous would so he could be sure they were the same person. But to be totally sure, he nudged the system and compared the soul attributes.
He buried his head in the man's chest
"I missed you so much"
He looked up with a smile but met the person's eyes that were filled with alienation and confusion. There was no joy in reuniting and Fu Ling took into consideration something he might have missed.
Could it be that unlike him Chaos didn't have the memories of the previous world? Then wouldn't his current behavior be considered hooliganism? He quickly took a step back and separated himself from the person
"That— I.. I'm sorry. I thought —"
Fu Ling was stuck. What did he think? That you were another person? But it's the same person.
The man frowned and brushed the non existent wrinkles off his shirt
"Don't go around hugging random people."
Fu Ling wanted to say he didn't have that habit but could only nod honestly under the man's pointed glare.
"You— I'll look for you okay. You're totally my type I'm going to pursue you. Where can I find you?"
The man raised a brow and then calmly gave an address.
Fu Ling nodded and made an okay sign.
"I'll come find you some other day. Wait for me okay."
He made to leave but a voice reached his from behind
"My name is Gu Yunnain"
Fu Ling smiled brightly.
"Okay!"
Gu Yunnain watched as the bathroom door closed and came back to his senses. What did he do? In all twenty eight years of his life he has never shown as much patience as he did in these few minutes.
He didn't know why but he didn't reject the kid getting close to him. But he seemed to have mistaken him for someone? Who is Gu Lian?
Whoever it was, Gu Yunnain didn't like that person. Would the young man be able to find him? He didn't even ask for his contact number. Or was he just trying to get away?
All his thoughts were filled with that person's figure and Gu Yunnain felt like he was going crazy.
