Althea lifted her gaze to him with a frown and slowly followed his line of sight to find him staring at Alexis who was beaming at him with a kind of look in her eyes.
She already knew what it was.
Her hands balled by her sides with so much anger raging inside of her. But not now, not yet. She will have her time pretty soon to release every bit of it.
Her plans are in motion, and she couldn't ruin it in any way.
So, she grabbed Keelion's hand which brought the man's attention back to her. His expression contorted and he slipped her hand off.
"Don't touch me," he warned in a voice that only she could hear. "Behave yourself until this is all over."
And then he began to head further down the stairs till he could step onto the platform that had been set up in the foyer, the golden chair situated on it, pure golden and like a throne.
