Felix had no choice but to place Leif's sword on top of Irene and lift her in his arms yet again. His only objective was to get her back to the infirmary.
Anger seared through his head and heart.
Who on earth allowed her to leave the infirmary in the first place? It wasn't as if the mages had any reason to fight. They only ever used their shields when they were directly threatened.
His anger for them grew, but it wasn't the same as the prejudice the southerners had against the magic practitioners. At least he could always say that much.
Felix kicked the flap of the infirmary tent open and rushed into the room.
"Stanley! I need your healing now!" he ordered. "There isn't time to waste."
Felix sat her anywhere that he could.
A table was going to have to be good enough because the beds were farther away.
Stanley didn't resist the urgent tone and rushed towards the table where Felix and Irene were. His hands were already raised as they warmed up with healing magic.
