Chapter 110 - CHAPTER 110

Yellowstone National Park.

Beneath Yellowstone lies the largest supervolcano on Earth. A full-scale eruption wouldn't just devastate North America—it would blanket the sky in ash, disrupt the climate, and threaten global civilization itself. Now, the Mutant Brotherhood is preparing to detonate it.

"John… are we really doing this?" Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, hesitated as she turned to face John Allerdyce, better known as Pyro, the current leader of the Brotherhood.

She and her brother, Quicksilver, had long desired vengeance against humanity for their suffering. But this? This was a line even she feared to cross.

"Of course we are," Pyro snapped. His eyes burned with righteous fury. "We have to! Humanity must learn to respect Mutants. They have to pay for what they've done—Trask's experiments, the Sentinels, the purges. They hunted us like animals!" His fists clenched, and a small explosion of flame flared in his palm. "We'll send a message they'll never forget."

"With this power," Pyro continued, "we can force them to destroy every Sentinel, dismantle Trask Industries, and end their slaughter of our kind. This is our chance to change everything!"

With Scarlet Witch amplifying his powers, Pyro began to descend toward the heart of the volcano, ready to unleash destruction. But before he could go any further, a squad of X-Men, led by Storm and Wolverine, arrived to stop them.

"Enough!" Storm's voice echoed with authority, lightning crackling around her as she hovered in the air. "This is madness! If you go through with this, humans and Mutants will be at total war. The world will drown in blood!"

"War?" Pyro sneered. "Humans declared war on us the moment they threw our people onto their operating tables! You want to stop us—your own kind—to protect them?" His voice grew venomous. "You're a disgrace to Mutants, Ororo."

Murmurs of agreement rippled through the Brotherhood. The atrocities committed by humanity—the vivisections, the forced mutations, the culling of young Mutants—were undeniable. Even the X-Men hesitated, struggling to counter his words.

It was Wolverine who finally spoke. "Not all humans are our enemies. We have allies—people who fight for us." His voice was low but firm. "We don't need to destroy them—we need to destroy Trask. He is the enemy. His Sentinels. His weapons." Logan's adamantium claws gleamed in the dim light. "So let's tear them down first. If they refuse? Then we'll talk."

A moment of silence. Then—

"…I think that's a fair plan," Pyro admitted, rolling his shoulders. "If Trask Industries falls, and if humans prove they won't turn against us again, then maybe… maybe we hold off." He smirked at Storm. "And I'd rather not get electrocuted today."

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver exchanged glances, considering. The Brotherhood was beginning to waver.

And then—

The Sentinels came.

From the sky, dozens of Mark X Sentinels descended like harbingers of doom. Unlike their predecessors, these weren't just machines—they were bio-mechanical hybrids, forged from Skrull DNA and Stark-derived tech. These monstrosities could adapt to Mutant abilities in real time.

With a deafening thud, they landed. Target acquired. Commencing extermination.

Before anyone could react, one Sentinel reached out, snatched a Brotherhood Mutant—Avalanche—and tore him in half.

Pyro's eyes widened in horror. He whipped around, flames surging from his palms. "You brought Sentinels here?!" he roared at Wolverine.

"We didn't!" Storm shouted back, her hands raised as she summoned a hurricane-force wind. "They're attacking everyone!"

And they were. The Sentinels did not distinguish between Brotherhood or X-Men. Storm was forced to evade an energy blast. Wolverine barely dodged a laser meant to atomize him.

Mutants fought back desperately. Scarlet Witch unleashed a wave of Chaos Magic, reducing a Sentinel to twisted, blackened metal. Quicksilver blurred between enemies, striking where he could—though his lack of raw power left him little more than a distraction.

But the Sentinels never tired. Never hesitated. And they adapted.

Pyro, witnessing his friends and allies butchered, made his decision. "Wanda!" he shouted. "Get me inside the volcano! We end this NOW!"

Scarlet Witch's fingers trembled. She thought of the endless pain—the experiments, the cages, the fear. Then, with grim resolve, she enveloped Pyro in a protective sphere of Chaos energy, shielding him from the heat.

And she let him go.

Pyro plunged into the depths of Yellowstone.

Sentinels ignored him, focused on eradicating the Mutants above. Quicksilver pushed himself past his limits, darting between the battlefield, pulling fallen comrades to safety. But the Sentinels never tired. He did.

And Pyro? Pyro had reached the core.

The ground trembled. Fire and molten rock churned, straining against the surface. He could feel it—the pulse of the Earth, the power of nature's fury, ready to be unleashed.

"Let them feel our pain." Pyro's voice was a whisper. He unleashed his flames.

Yellowstone erupted.

Wolverine, locked in combat with a Sentinel, froze in horror.

It was happening. The future he feared was here.

The eruption should have annihilated everything. Sentinels, Mutants, humans. It should have been over.

But then—

A sigh echoed across the battlefield.

The lava froze mid-eruption. The molten rock reversed, flowing back into the crater. The shaking ground stilled, as if time itself had rewound.

The volcano… died.

Black. White. Cold. Silent.

The battle stopped. Everyone—X-Men, Brotherhood, even the Sentinels—turned in stunned silence.

A lone figure stood at the crater's edge.

Pyro, still engulfed in flame, stared at this impossible sight. "What…?"

A voice, distant yet deafening, whispered.

"Not yet."

And the battlefield was silent.
