Talon laughed, the sound light and easy, as if nothing was amiss. Without another word, he turned and jogged off toward the school exit, weaving through the crowd with practiced ease until he disappeared from sight.
Raul watched him go, his brow furrowing slightly. Something about Talon's sudden departure felt… off. But before he could dwell on it, Olivia's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"What are you waiting for?" she quipped, looping her arms through both Raul's and Sumaya's elbows with a dramatic flourish. "Let's go get something to eat."
Raul allowed himself to be pulled along, glancing down at her with a small, hesitant smile. Sumaya, on his other side, remained quiet, her hood pulled up as usual. She glanced at Raul briefly, her expression unreadable, before turning her gaze forward.
