"Go fuck yourself," Kael spat as the Warden examined him.
He wore thin, gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose. The lenses glowed faintly with some sort of internal script. Readouts, calculations, maybe even vitals?
Kael had never seen a technology like it before.
The man didn't even blink from Kael's outburst.
"You'll forgive me if I don't indulge in that particular request. I am, as I was saying, the Warden of the Black Vault. This entire facility falls under my domain. As, now, do you."
His voice, despite being almost welcoming, was emotionless.
"I've been wondering when I would encounter you. I've heard the rumors. I've read the reports. You've killed many Officials and gotten away. A true rebel at heart."
Kael strained against the bonds, using everything he had to try and break free.
"I do wonder if it can be attributed to this stone here. Mind if I…?"
