Chapter 67 - A Message

"You don't have to do this," Kael assured Tuck. 

Their oldest crew member also seemed to be one of the bravest. He'd been the first person to stand up to Kreel in the mines. 

The first spark of the rebellion.

And now he was risking his life by coming along with Kael as a prisoner to the Royals.

"I know," he said, his voice rough and strained. "But I'd rather it be me than any of the others."

"Good man!" Ronin shouted, and there were a couple cheers from the Raiders. "You 8, stay as you are. The rest of us will find uniforms that fit us."

Kael sat down against the front of the train again, this time Tuck sitting next to him. 

They were quiet for a moment, watching as the others began pulling on the bloody uniforms.

"Could…," Tuck coughed. "Could I tell you a story, Kael?"

Kael nodded. "Of course. Please."

Tuck leaned his head back against the cold metal and closed his eyes.
