Knights' Graveyard.
Arriving at a small village somewhat distant from the Capital, the carriage came to a stop.
Luka stepped out first, his boots crunching against the dirt path.
Without a word, he offered his hand to his personal maid, helping her down.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, Serene turned to the coachman and handed over the fare. "Please wait here for a little bit."
Luka's gaze shifted immediately toward the graveyard ahead—a sizable plot enclosed by rusted iron fencing.
Cracked gravestones jutted from the overgrown earth like broken teeth, some toppled, others half-buried in wild grass.
The mausoleums and statues that once might have stood tall were now crumbling relics.
'It looks pretty damaged…' Luka thought, narrowing his eyes.
Time and neglect had clearly taken their toll.
Serene stood beside him, frowning.
"I must say… it seems this village doesn't honor the dead very well," she muttered.
