"We will be going on a mission," Tsunade said, dropping the bomb in the room with four people sitting around the table.
Mito looked at Tsunade for a second with a sharp look in her eyes but when she noticed the seriousness in Tsunade's eyes, she understood that Tsunade had planned everything already.
The atmosphere in the room had changed and became heavy for a moment, and then it returned to normal when Mito sipped her tea. Coming out of her senses, Kushina looked at Tsunade with wide eyes and she shouted, "What! I also want to go on a mission!"
"No," x2
Both Akane and Tsunade said instantaneously as soon as they heard her word, making Kushina look at them with a shocked expression on her face. She then puffed her cheeks to show her annoyance.
"You aren't ready, even if you know more than a regular genin," Akane said while shaking his head. Hearing him, Tsunade snickered and said, "Regular genin? That's very modest from someone who forced her to use the Shadow Clone Technique to train for 2 years."
"That's a different thing," Akane replied with a shrug, not caring about the shrug. Not only Kushina but all Uzumakis had to learn the Shadow Clone Technique first and then use that technique to do further training.
"Anyways, you can't go on this mission. Soon, you will graduate, and at that time, we will go on a mission together since you will be under me." Tsunade said after thinking for a moment, and the puff on Kushina's face lessened as she heard her words. But she was still annoyed that Akane had to leave as soon as he arrived.
Thinking of this, she opened her mouth to say this, but before she could, Akane mentioned, "Where will we be going? Are the preparations done?"
"Hmph!" Hearing him, Kushina hmphed, and she understood that it would be pointless to say anything. Getting up, she looked at Akane, who had a confused face. She hmphed again, and she left the room since she knew that mission details were confidential. Even if Tsunade didn't care, she knew that she shouldn't listen to them.
"She has grown up, unlike the brat she was before," Mito murmured with a gentle expression while looking at the closed door. Again, Tsunade commented, "Thanks to a certain someone who let us spend more time than the time spent."
"Aren't y--"
"Anyways, let me tell you about the mission we will be going."
Before Akane could complete his words, Tsunade started to speak with a subtle grin on her face. Her expression showed that she was enjoying the situation they were in, and she opened the scroll on the table, showing the map of countries and many marks on it.
Akane looked at Tsunade for a second and then turned his eyes to the map on the table. He noticed Mito getting up, showing that she had no interest in knowing anything about the mission, and now only Tsunade and Akane were left in the room.
"Here, this is the place we have to reach. We will be leaving in a few hours," Tsunade said, pointing at the border post, and Akane looked at the post. He noticed that the post was near the meeting point of three countries, Land of Fire, Land of Rain and Land of River.
Thinking of Land of Rain, a figure appeared in Akane's mind, someone he had thought of looking for, but he forgot since he had many things to think about.
'Konan,' Akane thought of Konan, who had the ability to manipulate paper and when he thought of Konan knowing Uzumaki techniques, a crazy idea appeared in his mind.
'She would really be terrifying if she learned from grandma,'
"We will be using the route, and in between, you will be clearing the bandit hideouts and catching spies at these places. The information is from Konoha ANBU, but don't depend too much on this. Most importantly, you won't be using your dream ability, just the regular ones."
"Hmm,"
Tsunade looked at Akane, who appeared to be lost in thought. She reached out to poke his forehead, but he caught her hand before she could.
"I am listening," he said with a smile.
Tsunade, however, ignored his words and applied more pressure with her hand. "I know you're listening, but I need you to not only hear me but to truly focus. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Sensei~!" "Hmm, let's continue..."
Then Tsunade told Akane about the mission details and he took note of the important points she mentioned while talking about the details.
"It's going to be a long one," Akane said when Tsunade was done talking about mission details, and Tsunade nodded at his words.
"At least 5-6 days, it was an important one or I would have declined. Besides, I got the idea of taking you outside and teaching you in the meantime, so it's a good situation." Tsunade said with a thoughtful face, and she looked outside the window.
"Let's go to the training ground, I know you are Jonin level, but I want to take a good look at your skills and then put limitations on you. After all, you lack practical knowledge more than theoretical one, even if you have fought many times in dreams."
"Subconsciously holding back, huh!" Akane murmured as he understood what Tsunade was trying to say, making her smile and she got up from her seat. Akane also got up and followed behind.
When they were at the door, Tsunade turned around and before Akane could process anymore, his lips were taken by him. Seeing the surprised look in his eyes, Tsunade eyes turned into a crescent shape, and she put her hands on his back.
Akane also came to his senses and knowing what was happening, he looked into Tsunade's eyes. The slight mocking look she was trying to hide in her eyes couldn't be hidden since it was her who took him by surprise, unlike the other times.
'I will let her have this one,' Akane thought before fully focusing on the kiss. His hands were already roaming around her body and with their faces tilted, they were sucking each other's lips while their tongues danced together.
