"Can we discuss cooperation now?" Lisa Han smiled, looking at Alex Carter and the group of Aldecaldos.
Saul nodded.
With Kang Tao stepping in and driving away Biotechnica, the decision had already been made for them.
Although it was somewhat disingenuous to back out after initially negotiating with Biotechnica, in the end, this deal was better for the Aldecaldos.
After all, if they had gone forward with Biotechnica, then suddenly turned around and partnered with someone else, it could cause problems down the line. Even though Kang Tao was supporting them now, what if this partnership didn't last? Biotechnica could hold a grudge and retaliate.
Saul led Lisa Han and Leo Forrest into the camp, and the official negotiations began.
Meanwhile, Alex was whispering to Panam on the side.
Although Kang Tao's arrival was technically his doing, this was still an Aldecaldo matter. It was best for him to stay out of it.
The negotiations went smoothly.
Mostly because, as Lisa Han had said, Kang Tao was genuinely generous.
Within ten minutes, both sides reached an agreement.
Kang Tao would provide the Aldecaldos with a monthly supply of high-quality materials.
In return, the Aldecaldos would relocate their camp to the designated area and take responsibility for patrolling and securing the entire region.
Additionally, in emergency situations, they could request support from Kang Tao's combat unit once every two months.
It was an offer that no one in their right mind would refuse.
With business settled and the deal finalized, the Aldecaldos began preparing for the upcoming relocation.
As the sun started to set, Alex was also getting ready to head back to the city.
If he could avoid spending the night outdoors, he preferred to.
Otherwise, there was a certain tigress at home who would surely find an excuse to pick a fight with him.
"Alex, are you leaving?" Saul stepped forward.
"Thanks to you, the Aldecaldos got this opportunity to work with Kang Tao."
"No need for thanks. We're family—we don't need to say two words about it," Alex replied with a smile.
Panam also walked over and nudged Alex. "The Basilisk should be fully assembled by tomorrow. I'll give you a call then."
"Great!" Alex grinned.
This was good news.
He had been waiting for this for far too long.
"Alex, are you heading back to the city? We can give you a lift." Lisa Han offered.
Alex thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright, thanks. I'm going to North Oak."
After saying his goodbyes, Alex followed the Kang Tao team into the hovercar and headed back to the city.
The hovercar ride was extremely smooth.
Although it felt slow, in reality, it was incredibly fast.
A trip that normally took over an hour was completed in just ten minutes.
Before long, the hovercar reached North Oak, arriving at Alex's villa.
After verifying his clearance, the hovercar safely landed on the villa's rooftop.
Hearing the commotion, V rushed up with a weapon in hand, her body tense.
But the moment she saw Alex, she sighed in relief and disengaged the safety on her gun.
"This is V, my partner—uh, my girlfriend."
"V, this is Lisa Han, the one I told you about. And this is her daughter, Liana Forrest."
After brief introductions and polite exchanges, Lisa Han and Liana declined Alex's offer to come inside for tea.
As Alex and V walked back into the villa, Lisa Han turned to her daughter.
"Liana, what do you think of Alex Carter?"
