EMMA
(He comes here often now, are you thinking what I am thinking?") Beena teased and I rolled my eyes.
"What the heck is going on in your head, we should scold our little sister." but Beena snorted in return.
(She isn't wrong, he made a promise so he shouldn't break it)
The scent of roasted lamb, fresh bread, and buttered greens danced through the air, getting back my attention.
"Hey Emma, there is nothing wrong with her question." Alpha Ian replied and then he looked down at her.
"Of course, you will begin your school as soon as possible if you think tomorrow isn't that far." She giggled as she nodded her head, so she ran back toward me.
I held Olivia's small hand as we stepped into the room, her footsteps pattering beside mine like a hopeful heartbeat.
Alpha Ian rose from his seat with a soft smile, his eyes locking with mine for a second too long.
He pulled Olivia's chair out with a gentleman's grace, helping her sit before gesturing to mine as well.
