I followed Mum and Dad outside, feeling a pang of sadness wash over me.
I wasn't in the mood to let them go anymore, and the thought of being without them again for a while was already weighing heavily on my heart.
I grabbed Mum from behind, my hands wrapping around her tightly.
Mum smiled, her hands caressing mine as if she didn't want to let me go either.
I could sense her trying to hold back tears, and it broke my heart even more. I pulled her closer, embracing her tightly.
"I am going to miss you," I whispered, my voice shaking
Mum let out a small smile and scoffed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I will miss you more, my love."
She turned and wrapped her arms around me again, holding me close. Dad joined in, embracing both of us, his voice filled with warmth and love.
"Take care of yourself, sweetie," Mum said, her voice cracking with emotion. "And take care of Olivia for us. We love you both so much."
