"Three floors. The first floor has three rentable shops. The second and third floors are 100 square meters each, four rooms total. Simple white walls, terrazzo floors."
The uncle frowned. "He's asking for 120000 dollars—not a bad price. But even with the demolition payout, our family can only scrape together 40,000."
"The boss said he needs at least 80,000 upfront, with the rest payable later. Your aunt and I have been racking our brains over where to borrow the difference."
"I know that place. The price really isn't bad."
Tina thought for a moment before saying gently, "Uncle, I'll give you 80,000."
The whole family fell silent. The old man couldn't help asking, "Where did you get that kind of money?"
"I saved some myself!"
Tina smiled coyly. "Ryan gave me some dollars. If I scrape together the rest, I can manage."
It wasn't surprising that she'd earned some dollars in property sales commissions. But so much dollars… that was telling.
