Chapter 80: God's Perspective

Chang Wei didn't do anything significant; he simply took Seras shopping and bought her clothes. Seras had been living alone for so many years and had never experienced such a carefree and pleasant life.

For a moment, Seras was overwhelmed with emotion, tears streaming down her face. Although Chang Wei had ordered the werewolf captain, codenamed "Howling Celestial Dog," to beat her up for an entire night—breaking her neck, twisting her arms, snapping her waist, and even tearing her in half—she still felt they treated her exceptionally well!

Chang Wei was worried that Seras might develop psychological issues. He hadn't expected that when he suggested she overcome her fear of death and injury, the werewolf captain would interpret it as a license to creatively torment her. Really, man? You're supposed to be a guy—where's the gentleness I taught you? Not a shred of compassion for women!

By the time Chang Wei discovered this, Seras was already teetering on the edge of hysteria, suffering from psychological trauma. Left with no choice, he played the role of a psychologist, providing her with mental counseling. He also decided to help this poor girl experience the warmth of familial affection she had never known.

As it turned out, Seras was remarkably resilient. After all, she endured a traumatic childhood without developing depression or withdrawing from life. Compared to some adults, she was far more robust. Later on, in her original storyline, the relentless cycles of love and hate, pain and death, still didn't break her. The term "iron-blooded maiden" was undoubtedly fitting.

After walking around for a bit, Chang Wei noticed that Seras had returned to normal, and her training results were evident. After dying more than a hundred times, she was no longer afraid of death or pain. Thanks to the werewolf captain, she had been forged into a qualified warrior in advance. Even her gaze had grown sharper.

As they reached a street corner, Chang Wei stopped. Seras, confused, was suddenly lifted by the scruff of her neck by the werewolf captain and placed behind him.

Opposite the street stood a tall figure dressed in a red suit.

Alucard stared at Chang Wei, while Chang Wei and the werewolf captain stared back at him.

There were many people in the vicinity, and Alucard wasn't about to start a fight here, even though he really wanted to.

Alucard's desire for battle was intense. He had never expected to encounter a werewolf here.

Years ago, Alucard had collaborated with a very young Walter, then a fledgling butler, to eliminate the FREAKs. During that time, they encountered the werewolf captain. A brash and inexperienced Walter had been beaten like a dead dog, while Alucard was literally kicked in half by the werewolf captain.

Back then, Alucard even transformed into a white-haired loli form, declaring stylishly that he would lead Walter in hunting down werewolves, only to end up being thoroughly trounced in a two-against-one fight.

The young adult Walter, in his peak condition, never fought the werewolf captain. However, it was likely he wouldn't have stood a chance either—though Walter easily overwhelmed Alucard.

In any case, the werewolf captain's reputation as the strongest single combatant was no exaggeration.

Alucard couldn't fathom why that werewolf was now with Chang Wei and seemed so familiar with him. Also, the policewoman he had seen with Chang Wei before had never returned. The British police had already classified Seras as missing. After a few years of cold treatment, her case would be updated to "deceased."

But now, here she was, following Chang Wei, dressed in a black biker suit instead of her blue police uniform.

Initially, Chang Wei had wanted Seras to wear a biker jacket like Celty Sturluson's, but she adamantly refused. As a result, she ended up wearing a thick racing suit instead.

Chang Wei tilted his head slightly, signaling to Alucard. Alucard disappeared immediately.

The werewolf captain took the lead, leaving only Seras behind, clueless about what was happening. Chang Wei grabbed her by the neck again and carried her to a secluded spot.

"Mr. Chang Wei, I can move on my own," Seras said hurriedly, feeling quite embarrassed about being picked up by the scruff of her neck so often.

"Alright, Seras," Chang Wei nodded but didn't stop.

"Werewolf, why are you here?"

Alucard stared at the werewolf captain and asked. The captain, who didn't even bother changing his clothes, was clearly looking down on him.

The werewolf captain tilted his head.

Do we know each other?

"You know other werewolves?" Chang Wei interjected, addressing Alucard.

"No, I only know one werewolf," Alucard replied. He wasn't sure what the werewolf captain's response meant, but it seemed like the captain genuinely didn't recognize him.

"This world is vast. It's not impossible for two werewolves to look identical," Chang Wei said with a straight face, spouting nonsense.

"Even their clothes and aura are identical?" Alucard chuckled.

"Clearly, you've never studied probability theory. No matter how small the probability, there's always a chance it might happen," Chang Wei retorted earnestly.

Alucard realized that Chang Wei wasn't quite what he'd expected—there was a certain unseriousness about him.

"So, exorcist, what's your purpose in coming to Britain?" Alucard asked directly.

"No purpose at all. As I said, I'm just a passing exorcist," Chang Wei replied with a shake of his head. A fight with Alucard was unlikely to happen, and even if it did, there was no immediate benefit. Obtaining Alucard's blood might grant him vampire abilities, which were both fascinating and powerful.

But there was no rush. Chang Wei planned to relax for a while and deal with it later. When the Sea Lion Plan began, he could focus seriously.

"I'll be watching you, exorcist," Alucard said, stepping closer to Chang Wei. The werewolf captain stepped in front of him, blocking his advance. Alucard didn't press further. Although he wasn't afraid, provoking unnecessary enemies was unwise, especially when facing a two-on-one scenario.

Alucard didn't mind taking risks, but Integra would never allow such recklessness.

"Feel free, as long as I don't catch you. Otherwise, vampires might not be my specialty, but I won't be polite," Chang Wei replied with a smile.

Alucard grinned and said nothing more before transforming into a shadow and disappearing.

"So envious of that shadow transformation ability," Chang Wei remarked, clicking his tongue.

Shadow transformation was on par with, if not superior to, mist transformation. Alucard could even pass through walls, perfectly aligning with vampire legends.

Glancing at Seras, who had been a spectator to the entire event, Chang Wei noted the unique perspective within her mind. Somewhere deep in her mental space, someone had been silently observing everything unfold. This Schrödinger-like figure gleaned some key information from Seras' thoughts and returned to report to the Major.

Afterward, Chang Wei led Seras and the werewolf captain to a new hotel—the previous one had been destroyed.

Extending his telepathic abilities and invisible killers across the globe, he ensured that no information could escape his grasp.

With this godlike perspective, no detail could possibly slip past Chang Wei.
