The next four days flew by.
Throughout this period, as agreed by the group, they spent the first half of the days training without rest, and in the second half, they walked the main avenue of the ghost town. Their aim was to place scrap metal, garbage, bricks and pieces of concrete on the wide thoroughfare.
In addition, Sete spent a long time clearing the perimeter of the ambush of Chaos creatures, with the help of Thomas, Ethan and Bianca. The feat earned her a few hundred coins from the seed store, and the heirs some great practical lessons.
With that, they were ready to put their strategy to the test.

That gray morning, before the reddish sun rose and covered Ousbury with its bloody light, the group was already positioned at different points along the convoy's route.
The town's main avenue was quite wide, but after placing debris along part of the route, the path became narrower and full of bends. The position of the debris was random enough to look natural, as well as serving to camouflage the thorny vines strengthened by Sete's powers.
— They're here! — Kai was hiding in an abandoned building near the entrance to Ousbury, watching the roads with a pair of binoculars and waiting for the E.G.O. cars to arrive, in order to give the rest of the group advance warning via a walkie talkie. — There are three convoys in all: in the middle there's a large van, at the front and back there are two military jeeps, all heavily reinforced. Flying around the convoy are four well-armed war drones, so be careful!
Two of the drones went to explore the area above the buildings on the right and the other two searched the terraces of the buildings on the left, their cameras analyzing every piece of grey concrete with the help of AIs.
Further along the route, Sete was crouched on a rooftop to the right of the large avenue, waiting for the drones. Bianca was doing the same, but on the left, hiding behind some fans.
When the machines left the field of vision of the soldiers in the cars, the girls attacked simultaneously. They were careful to avoid the robotic lenses when they hit them: Bianca threw two boulders like baseballs which, propelled by the wind she controlled, hit their targets with precision; Sete transformed two orange seeds into short, massive spears, which were thrown with enough speed and force to pass through the drones.
The four machines crashed through the roofs of the buildings, with the convoy of prisoners already some distance away. Bianca softened the impact with her powers, which lessened the crash significantly, to the point that no one but the two girls heard anything.
— We got rid of the drones! — Bianca informed the group via the walkie talkie, there was a bit of pride in her low voice. Sete's training had been effective.
Now it was Thomas' turn to act.
The three vehicles continued to move without noticing the drones, they zig-zagged a little to avoid the debris in the street, which slowed them down. However, it still wasn't slow enough, as Sete needed to get down from the building she was in and run a few meters ahead of where they had scattered the thorny vines. That way, when the cars stopped because of flat tires, she would be one step ahead to catch them off guard.
For the timing to work, Thomas would need to stop time for a few minutes. Currently, he could keep his ability active for almost five minutes, but it only worked in the area near him. So the boy hid behind one of the barricades the group had set up in the street, and only used his powers when he heard the vehicles approaching.
In this way, he successfully stopped time, paralyzing the cars in the middle of the avenue.
— There are three armed E.G.O. agents in each jeep. — Thomas warned the others via walkie talkie, spying on the convoy from behind his hiding place. — There are two soldiers in the van, as well as the driver. They also seem to be well equipped, pay attention!
When the duration of the boy's skill was up, Sete was already in position, waiting for the moment when the cars would have to stop.
Bianca and Thomas found themselves somewhere inside the abandoned buildings, out of sight of the E.G.O. men. They were both sweating a little from the effort, but they were fine thanks to the activities passed on by the young deity.
