Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 35: The Phantom Beyond Time

Title: The Phantom Beyond Time

The abyss trembled. Reality itself bent and contorted as the warriors stood face to face with the entity that had spoken. It was neither god nor beast—something far worse. It had no true form, only an ever-shifting mass of void energy, its cloak writhing as if filled with tortured souls.

Infinity God stepped forward, his silver eyes narrowing. "Enough games. State your name."

The entity remained silent, but the air around it grew heavy, suffocating. Then, a voice—deep, hollow, and echoing through the abyss—spoke.

"Name?" The voice almost seemed amused. "I have had many. But I am older than names, older than gods. You may call me the Phantom Beyond Time."

Galaxy God clenched his fists. "Another false god standing in our way?"

The Phantom chuckled, the sound reverberating through the void. "False god? You misunderstand. I do not seek worship. I do not seek conquest. I simply exist… as the shadow cast by eternity itself."

The words sent a shiver down the spines of even the most hardened warriors. There was something fundamentally wrong about this entity, something beyond comprehension.

The Test of the Abyss

Before anyone could react, the Phantom raised its hand. Instantly, the Infinity Door behind them vanished, leaving only the abyss stretching endlessly in all directions. The ground beneath them pulsed as if alive.

"Prove yourselves," the Phantom said. "Or be forgotten."

Without warning, the shadows surged. From the darkness, twisted figures emerged—distorted, nightmarish versions of the warriors themselves. Each one bore the same weapons, the same abilities, but with eyes void of light, filled only with abyssal hunger.

"These are your reflections," the Phantom said. "Kill them, or they will consume you."

Infinity God barely had time to react before his own doppelgänger lunged at him, a perfect mirror of his movements. The warriors scattered, each forced into a brutal battle against themselves.

Shadow Fang clashed blades with his own reflection, the sound of steel ringing through the void. "Tch… This isn't just an illusion. They fight exactly like us!"

"Then we'll have to be stronger than ourselves," Aurora Yoichi muttered, unleashing a burst of celestial energy.

But as they fought, something became clear—the shadows were learning. Adapting. Every move the warriors made, their reflections copied and countered.

Infinity God's patience snapped. "Enough of this." His eyes burned white-hot as he raised his hand. "Oblivion Force."

A shockwave of raw cosmic destruction erupted from his palm, obliterating his doppelgänger instantly. The void screamed as the energy surged outward, shaking the entire abyss.

But the Phantom only watched. "Interesting," it murmured.

Galaxy God crushed his opponent with a collapsing star, while Aurora Yoichi severed his reflection with a single devastating strike, his golden aura illuminating the darkness. One by one, the warriors destroyed their clones—until only silence remained.

Breathing heavily, Infinity God turned to the Phantom. "Satisfied?"

The entity's form shifted, its voice deepening. "Perhaps. But this was only the first test."

Without another word, the darkness beneath them cracked open—and the warriors fell into the endless abyss.
