After leaving the merchant guild, Lette declined the carriage Grandet had called for and waved goodbye to the Red Archbishop.
Grandet was quite considerate and didn't forget to send a packet of exquisite tea to Archbishop Delman at the end. This finally brought a hint of a smile to the heavy-hearted archbishop's face.
Lette walked all the way home, looking up to find Lilith standing at the door, waiting to greet him.
"Back already?"
"Ah... yes."
Lette walked with Lilith towards the small building. As they approached the door, Lilith suddenly grabbed Lette's hand.
"You know, it's been a while since I helped clean your ears. Want me to help you with that today?"
Lette raised an eyebrow: "Such a good thing?"
Lilith pulled him onto the sofa, Lette lay on his side, resting his head on Lilith's lap.
Out of nowhere, Lilith produced an ear pick and began carefully and gently cleaning Lette's ears.
"Why so gentle today? It's making me a bit uncomfortable."
