Aurelia saw the stone coming. But knowing the elderly woman was directly behind her, she didn't budge.
Just as it grazed the side of her right eye, a hand shot out and knocked it off course.
"What do you think you're doing? You almost blinded her, you bastard!" The boy with her seethed, standing protectively on Aurelia's behalf.
But Renly didn't bother with him. Instead, he shouted angrily at Aurelia.
"I've told you to stop spouting nonsense! We already found the culprit for this theft, we don't need your stupid input anymore!"
Romina waved her hand at him dismissively.
"You don't have to waste your breath, Renly."
A flicker of annoyance flashed past his eyes before he said through clenched teeth, "But… this woman keeps saying infuriating things."
"I know, which is why I'm about to answer her question." Romina huffed and turned toward Aurelia, her voice calm but final.
