Mila sat in her office with a face mask on her face and glasses while she sipped kiwi juice. She relaxed on the swivel chair, moving herself side to side.
When a knock interrupted her relaxing moment, Mila didn't move but just opened her eyes.
"Ma'am, the chairman asked that you report to the boardroom."
Mila slurped her juice noisily. "I'll be there," she assured but didn't make a move to stand.
The young woman that had come to relay the message stood at the door for a moment before walking away.
Mila dropped the empty cup of juice, then removed the face mask. "Moist..." she smiled, looking into the mirror.
"A clear skin for a clear morning," she sucked her teeth. When her phone beeped, she read Lacie's text and smiled.
Pushing her chair back, Mila stood up, and donned her jacket over her shoulder. She calmly left her office and made her way to the boardroom.
