Mila blushed every time she remembered what she had done, but her smile even brightened more when she noticed how Zyran was actually enjoying her meal.
Zyran enjoyed the rest of his meal with a smile, almost faint but there. He couldn't quite place his fingers on it, but there was something warm about the meal and a strange taste it gave to his tongue which wasn't the usual he was used to.
It wasn't just about the meal, it was also about Mila's scent. Like she had left fresh out of the kitchen, the spicy ingredients still danced around her that when Zyran ate his meal, he inhaled deeply, taking in the work she put in, the time and effort to make such a meal ready just for him.
Done with eating, Mila started to pack the plates, but Zyran stopped her.
"I'll do it," he brushed his fingers on her hand and she let go.
"Thank you for the meal," Zyran said, stacking the plates as he had unpacked earlier before putting them in the bag.
