The office was silent except for the rhythmic tapping of my fingers against the desk. Offer after offer kept flooding in, collaboration requests, partnership deals, investment proposals. All of them had one thing in common.
They wanted Morana.
It was infuriating.
With every passing hour, more brands were clawing to work with her, singing her praises like she was the second coming of haute couture. Meanwhile, the headlines painted me as a jealous tyrant, attempting to smother her success.
My grip tightened around the latest proposal in my hands before I tossed it onto the ever-growing pile of rejections.
"Decline it." My voice was cold, sharp.
Across the desk, Olivia sighed. She had been standing there for nearly ten minutes, watching as I dismissed each proposal without so much as a second glance.
"Sir, that's the fifth major deal today," she said, crossing her arms. "Do you plan on rejecting every single one?"
