Emiya and Ryouta walk together to the arena where the competition will be. On the way, they could see many people from the other kingdom. The outside of the arena is filled with people. He could sense strong energy from around the people there. He never thought this competition would be participated in by this many people. There is even an army of Elarion that controls around the arena.
"My name is Emiya Selford, I am a participant in this competition, and as I remember, a participant could at least bring a friend for free, is that true?"
"Yes sir, may come in, and please don't do anything that could harm the audience," Emiya just smiled and put his right hand to his chest.
"As you wish," as they walk into the arena, they are stunned by the art of the building. It could at least fill 500,000 people, and it's even bigger than they thought. A figure appears in the middle of the arena, clearly just an attorney of the competition.
"HELLO EVERYBODY, WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM OF ELARIONNNN!!!!! I AM DEVA, YOUR ATTORNEY TODAY. I AM WELCOMING ALL THE PARTICIPANTS AND AUDIENCES THAT ARE COMING FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. TODAY IS THE BEGINNING OF THE COMPETITION, I BELIEVE ALL THE PARTICIPANTS ALREADY PRACTISE AND KEEP THEIR RANK UP. BEFORE WE START THIS FIGHT, MAY I REPRESENT YOU PEOPLE. THE ONLY GROUP THAT FILL WITH STRONG PEOPLE, SOME OF THEM ARE LEGENDS, SOME OF THEM CREATE THEIR NAME, THEY ARE THE MOST FEARED IN THE WORLD, THE ONE AND ONLY, THE 5 GREAT GOD."
The arrival of the 5 Great Gods puts all the people under pressure by their energy and presence. This energy is too much to be owned by this kind of human. Emiya just doesn't feel stunning and amazed, but this energy he feels is powerful or more than his master, which is King Arvien's own. How can an ordinary human reach this kind of power? All the things in Elarion Kingdom are perfect as the world should be, not just by the technology, smart people, but also power and peace. This makes him want to win this competition, not because of the prize, but he wants to know the person behind all of this success.
"Now let's me explain to all of you the rules. First, participants must wear this ring, the reason is this ring allows you to spawn if you are being killed. Second, fight until one of you is dead or surrender. Third, if someone gets caught using drugs, you will be eliminated by me, the Deva itself. Whoever wins this competition can ask our great king to grant their wishes to come true. Now, let's start our fighting. From my right, Galdin The Orc, everyone knows him for his popularity in destroying S-Rank level missions alone, and from my left side, we have a beginner that comes from nowhere, Emiya Selford who just reached S-Rank level. In my set, one.....two....three..... gooo!!!"
The ground trembled as Gandal, a burly warrior clad in heavy armor, wielded his massive axe. Across from him stood Emiya Selford, his sword glowing faintly with fire magic. The air between them crackled with tension as they sized each other up.
The match started with an explosive charge from Gandal, his axe swinging downward in a devastating arc. Emiya barely dodged in time, feeling the wind pressure from the strike as the axe buried itself into the ground, sending debris flying. Seizing the moment, Emiya countered with a fiery slash aimed at Gandal's exposed side, but the warrior twisted his body, using the axe shaft to absorb the impact. Flames flickered across Gandal's armor, forcing him to retreat a few steps, his gauntlets smoking.
Emiya pressed his advantage, weaving between the slow yet powerful strikes of Gandal's axe. With each slash of his sword, he left behind trails of fire, forcing Gandal into a defensive stance. But Gandal was not an easy opponent. With a grunt, he slammed the butt of his axe into the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Emiya stumbling.
Gandal roared and lunged, his axe spinning mid-air before slamming down in a crushing blow. Emiya rolled away at the last second, then retaliated with a powerful incantation. "Infernal Wave!" A surge of flames erupted from his blade, engulfing Gandal in a pillar of fire. The warrior roared in pain, his armor glowing red-hot, and he staggered back, dropping to one knee.
But Gandal wasn't finished yet. Mustering his strength, he hurled his axe like a massive projectile. Emiya barely ducked under it, the spinning weapon carving through the air like a guillotine. Gandal took advantage of Emiya's momentary distraction, charging with surprising speed and delivering a brutal shoulder tackle. Emiya skidded back, coughing from the impact, but he swiftly retaliated with a spinning slash wreathed in flames. The blade carved through Gandal's gauntlet, searing his arm beneath the armor.
Gandal gritted his teeth and clenched his fist, swinging wildly. Emiya dodged left, then right, his movements fluid. With one final burst of speed, he closed the distance and channeled fire into his sword, delivering a decisive slash across Gandal's chest. The warrior stumbled, his body finally giving out as he collapsed onto the arena floor.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Emiya stood victorious, sweat dripping from his brow. The first match win by himself. All the spectators were shocked by his victory.
The first match was on fire. The two S-Rankers fight with all of their abilities, but I know Emiya Selford, the new S-Ranker, did not give all that he can do. Now, let's go to the next match!!!!"
The moment the match began, the assassin flicked his wrist, and six knives hovered menacingly in the air around him. Rilvis, his armor gleaming under the sunlight, kept his stance firm, gripping his longsword tightly. He knew this fight wouldn't be one of strength but of speed and precision.
The assassin struck first, sending two knives hurtling toward Rilvis's chest. With swift movements, Rilvis deflected them, but the assassin was already closing the distance, his remaining blades swirling around him like a storm. Rilvis swung his sword in a wide arc, forcing the assassin back momentarily.
Suddenly, the assassin vanished—no, not vanished, but moved so fast it was almost imperceptible. A blade nicked Rilvis's cheek before he managed to block another aimed at his throat. Blood trickled down his face as he backed up, assessing the enemy. The assassin smirked beneath his hood, his knives circling hungrily.
Rilvis took a deep breath, waiting for the next attack. The assassin flicked his fingers, and the knives came from all directions. Rilvis deflected, dodged, and weaved through the deadly barrage, but the assassin closed in, striking with rapid, precise blows. A dagger pierced through a gap in Rilvis's armor, and he grunted in pain.
Summoning his strength, Rilvis swung his sword in a powerful, enchanted arc, sending a shockwave of force outward. The assassin leapt back, avoiding a direct hit, but his knives wavered for just a second. Rilvis took the opportunity to charge, slamming his blade down. The assassin barely managed to evade, flipping away with an acrobatic maneuver.
But it was clear—Rilvis was slowing down, wounds accumulating. With a final flourish, the assassin sent all six blades flying toward Rilvis in perfect synchronization. The knight deflected three, but the remaining three found their marks. One cut his arm, another pierced his leg, and the last drove in. With a gasp, Rilvis collapsed to one knee, unable to continue. The assassin had won. There was no way Emiya could keep up with the assassin's speed. The assassin controlled all six knives with such incredible swiftness, and his focus was so sharp that he moved purely on instinct.
The third match began.
The third battle promised a clash of styles—magic and swordsmanship against pure physical combat. The Magic Knight stood tall, his armor pulsing with magical energy, while Kaera cracked her knuckles, muscles tense with anticipation.
Kaera moved first, dashing forward with inhuman speed. She sent a flurry of punches at the knight's chest, her strikes landing like hammer blows. The Magic Knight barely managed to erect a magical shield in time, Kaera's attacks sending ripples through the barrier. With a flick of his sword, he unleashed a burst of energy, forcing her back.
Kaera smirked. "Not bad."
She darted in again, feinting left before spinning with a devastating roundhouse kick. The Magic Knight teleported mid-spin, appearing behind her with a strike aimed at her back. She ducked, narrowly avoiding a fatal blow, and retaliated with an explosive uppercut that cracked against his breastplate, sending him skidding backward.
Gritting his teeth, the Magic Knight unleashed a series of arcane blasts. Kaera dodged, weaving through the explosions like a dancer, before launching herself at him once more. She aimed a powerful knee at his stomach, but this time, the Magic Knight's blade flared with raw energy. He met her attack head-on, his sword crashing against her reinforced fists. The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the arena.
Kaera staggered, her hands numb from the impact. The Magic Knight wasted no time. He chanted a spell, his sword glowing bright, and with one final, massive strike, he sent a devastating wave of energy toward Kaera. She barely had time to react before it engulfed her, sending her flying across the battlefield. She struggled to stand, but her body refused to move.
Victory belonged to the Magic Knight.
Deva appeared in the middle of the arena. " WOWOWOWOWO!!!!!!!!! THE THIRD MATCH WAS SO EPIC. I NEVER SEE A MAGIC KNIGHT THAT USES MAGIC AS SUPER AS THAT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE SEE WHAT A TRUE HERO CAN DO. NOW, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, LET'S GO TO OUR LAST MATCH FOR TODAY. THIS IS THE FIGHT BETWEEN KADERA BETWEEN ZISIA AND THE MOST EXCITING PART IS THAT BOTH OF THEM ARE WITCHES. WILL THEIR FIGHT BE BURNING THE ARENA OR WILL IT BE GREAT AS THE TRUE HERO? LET'S BEGIN!!!!!"
The final match of the round was a battle of raw magical power. Kadera, shrouded in dark robes, faced Zisia, a confident spellcaster with a staff crackling with power.
Both witches began chanting incantations, the air thick with mana. Fire, ice, and lightning clashed violently, sending waves of destruction across the arena. Zisia conjured tendrils of darkness, lashing at Kadera, who countered with spectral flames. The two danced in a deadly display of magic, neither giving an inch.
Zisia hurled a massive meteor of ice, but Kadera shattered it mid-air with a focused beam of dark energy. Before Zisia could recover, Kadera whispered an incantation—an ancient, forbidden spell. A vortex of void magic formed beneath Zisia, pulling her in. She screamed, trying to dispel it, but the power was too overwhelming.
With a final surge, Kadera released a blast of abyssal energy. The arena shook as the attack struck, leaving Zisia unconscious on the ground. It's almost break the shield of the arena that protects the spectators.
The match was over. Kadera stood victorious. Everyone shouted in cheer.
Emiya and Ryouta headed back to their motel. They both enjoyed the fighting, Emiya even getting known by the citizens for his win of his first match. He still realizes that many things are beyond his understanding and a more powerful thing than he could ever think. He felt his spirit burn even stronger after witnessing the matches of the other participants. He wanted to strengthen himself even more to win the next battle. The participants advancing to the semi-finals will be given a full day to rest or train as they see fit. This break will allow them to recover their strength and refine their skills before the next crucial battle.
