Under Peter's deliberate control, the subsequent actions proceeded surprisingly smoothly.
Not long after setting out again, he located Daimons in Universe Earth-7831.
Daimons was a burly man with a full, unkempt beard, his physique incredibly massive—like a hulking bear.
He wielded a gigantic hammer as his weapon, and that hammer contained a portion of special power, capable of effortlessly smashing buildings and anything else in its path.
Moreover, Daimons himself was an absolute maniac.
Unlike other inheritors who focused solely on hunting Spider-Totems, this guy not only enjoyed eating them but also took pleasure in playing with his prey.
And he had no restrictions—neither in diet nor in species.
When Peter found him in Universe Earth-7831, Daimons had one hand gripping the throat of a female tiger-person while feasting on her ravenously. At the same time, he was pinning down another figure beneath him—a female lizard-person—who was writhing helplessly under his weight.
This universe was an alternate version of Earth-751263, and the two shared an extremely high degree of similarity.
The difference was that this universe had only a "Counter-Earth," where its Spider-Man was an anthropomorphic spider being and a member of the Wendigo Knights.
As for the female tiger-person in Daimons' grasp, she was none other than the Tiger King of this world—or rather, the Tiger Queen.
The lizard-woman, pinned beneath him and crying out in agony with each of Daimons' movements, was also a member of the Wendigo Knights.
And the carnage did not end there.
All around them lay the ruins of destroyed buildings, and among the rubble, lifeless corpses were scattered—each one drained of its life energy.
Among them was none other than this universe's High Evolutionary!
This world had already become Daimons' personal hunting ground.
As for this universe's Spider-Man? He had long since been the first one to be devoured!
"Hahaha! I never expected to find a place like this! None of you taste particularly great—nothing like the delicious spiders—but having some 'dessert' alongside the main course is what makes for a quality life!" Daimons let out a wild laugh, thrusting forward one last time before shuddering in pleasure. Then, with a casual kick, he sent the lizard-woman flying.
He tossed aside the Tiger Queen's lifeless, drained body and grabbed the lizard-woman instead, opening his mouth wide.
Whoosh—
Life energy was directly extracted from the lizard-woman's body, sucked into Daimons' gaping maw.
"Ahh! This feeling! A sweet treat after the act—pure bliss! Hahahaha—!"
Buzz—
Suddenly, space rippled, and a glowing portal appeared behind Daimons.
From within the portal, several strands of webbing shot out at blinding speed, latching onto Daimons before he had time to react. The threads quickly solidified upon contact.
Similar portals appeared simultaneously in multiple directions—above, below, front, back, and all sides of Daimons.
For each portal, several strands of webbing emerged.
These webs were silent, swift, and precise.
In the span of a single breath, Daimons was completely bound.
"Webbing? Where is the little bug who dares challenge me?" Daimons, however, did not panic.
He glanced down at the threads restraining him and immediately recognized the attack.
After all, he had hunted plenty of Spider-Totems.
And nearly every Spider-Totem relied on webbing as their primary means of attack.
He was long used to it.
Confident that he had countless ways to break free—having torn apart similar bindings more times than he could count—Daimons didn't immediately struggle.
Instead, he scanned his surroundings and shouted, "Come out, little bug! You've got guts to come looking for trouble with me!"
"Heh, it seems you're quite confident."
Bide chuckled lightly as he stepped out of the portal, landing gracefully on a piece of ruined architecture not far from Daimons.
"Oh? It does seem like you're quite a decent little bug. Very appetizing," Daimons sized up Bide with a sinister grin. "I'm starting to look forward to how you'll taste."
"Then give it a try," Bide couldn't be bothered to waste words on someone with such a broken mind.
He stretched out his hands, crossing them in front of him before pulling them apart, causing two glowing rings to appear in his palms.
His mastery of magic had now reached a level that, if not considered the pinnacle, could at least be described as extraordinarily refined.
Aside from the breadth of knowledge, in which he might still fall short compared to veteran Supreme Sorcerers, he was in no way inferior in other aspects.
Magic had already become a powerful weapon for him, alongside his inherent Spider-Man abilities and quantum energy.
As he pressed his hands together, a sphere radiating terrifying magical energy materialized between them.
"Hmph!"
Daimons let out a cold snort in response.
With a sudden jolt, he attempted to shake off the webbing, sensing a threat emanating from that sphere.
However, to his surprise, the webbing was far more resilient than he had anticipated!
He yanked at it, only to find that it wouldn't break!
For a brief moment, he was stunned.
Boom!
That brief distraction was all it took for the magic sphere to smash right into Daimons' face.
A deafening explosion erupted, sending violent tremors through the ground.
The city, already reduced to ruins, was now even more thoroughly devastated.
"Roar! Damn bug!"
From within the billowing smoke and dust, Daimons let out a furious roar as he shot forward at high speed.
Somehow, he had retrieved his hammer, and with a mighty swing, he aimed straight for Bide.
Bide pushed his hand forward.
In an instant, the air compressed into countless mirrored surfaces.
Crack, crack, crack, crack—
Daimons shattered one mirror after another, but they seemed endless. No matter how many he broke, more kept forming.
As layer upon layer of mirrors shattered, the force behind Daimons' hammer strike was finally neutralized.
"Is that all? Did you forget to eat or something? You seem pretty weak."
Bide mocked him with a smirk, flicking his wrist to send out a whip of light that coiled tightly around Daimons' hammer-wielding hand.
"Filthy bug!" Being taunted by his supposed prey, Daimons was both enraged and humiliated.
What infuriated him even more was that, in this brief exchange, not only had he failed to gain the upper hand—he had actually suffered a loss!
This was food!
And yet, he was the one getting beaten!
Daimons' fury boiled over.
He reached out, grabbing onto the magical light whip, attempting to yank Bide toward him.
"I admire your naïveté!" Bide sneered, tossing the whip into the air while forming a hand seal.
As the spell took effect, multiple identical copies of himself emerged from his body, suspending themselves in midair all around Daimons.
Each clone held a magical whip in hand, and as Daimons struggled against the first, they took advantage of the opening to wrap his limbs and head in restraints.
Meanwhile, four more "Bides" positioned themselves around him.
Glowing rings appeared near Daimons' wrists and ankles, closing in to bind him completely.
Daimons, cornered!
