Atherion stared at Sargeras with wild eyes, as if he no longer recognized him.
Cold sweat ran down Sargeras's back, but he did not move from where he stood, ready to block the Demon God, who was now losing control.
"Please, my Lord, come back to yourself. Kimi is still inside that body," Sargeras pleaded, his voice hoarse.
He could feel the oppressive force of Atherion's power spreading around them, making it harder to breathe.
But Atherion was completely unaware that he had lost control. He let out a deafening roar, his voice echoing throughout the castle.
His body began to change, dark scales covered his skin, two sharp horns sprouted from his head, and massive bat-like wings spread wide from his back.
Sargeras watched in horror. He knew that Atherion's power as the Demon God far surpassed his own, but he could not stand by and watch his new lord lose himself.
