The classroom is filled with the usual chatter of students, but Sandra notices something is off. Rose who is usually joking around or talking with friends, sits at her desk, arms crossed staring out the windows her expression is cold destant. This made Sandra worry about her two friends...
Sandra noticed Ishan standing near the door, looking frustrated "Rose just listen to me!" Ishan pleads, his voice carrying across the room. Rose doesn't even look at him "I have nothing to say to you ishan."
Sandra frowns "They've never fought like this before" Ishan takes a step closer. "At least let me explain" rose stands up and said explain what? That you let another girl hug you while she confessed her love to you?.
Ishan looks frustrated, almost desperate "It didn't mean anything Rose! I didn't even say anything to her!" Rose laughs bitterly. "Exactly you didn't say anything. You just stood there and let it happen."
Ishan clenches his fists, but before he can say anything else, Rose grabs her bag and storms out of the classroom. Sandra is worried about Ishan's condition.... she placed a supportive hand on his back and said, "Don't worry... I will speak to her."
Sandra stands up and follows Rose, Sandra finds she is sitting alone on a bench outside, arms crossed staring at the ground.
Sandra sighs and sits next to her, "Look I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I think you're being a little harsh." Rose said, "You think I'm overreacting, don't you?" she lets out a slow breath, gripping the fabric of her skirt.
"Sandra.... I saw it she hugged him and he just stood there." her voice is very low but there's still a sharp edge of pain. Sandra studies her carefully, "Did he hug her back?"
Rose hesitates, then shakes her head "No but he didn't push her away either."
Sandra said, "It wasn't mutual he was just off-guard" Rose laughs dryly. Maybe....but that doesn't change the fact that it happened, Sandra that I had to stand there and watch it."
Sandra exhales, trying to choose her words carefully. "Rose, I get that it hurt but you really want to throw away everything you and Ishan have because of this? He is trying to explain, and you won't even listen."
Rose finally turns to look at Sandra but then just as quickly her expression hardens again. "Sandra you don't get it.... You will know what it is like. You'll see the person you love in someone else's arms and even if it's not what you think, even if it's just a mistake or bad timing. Your heart will still break."
Sandra falls silent... And couldn't process her mind also that what just rose told to her.. Rose shakes her head, standing up. "YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHEN IT HAPPENS TO YOU."
Without another word, Rose walks away, leaving Sandra sitting there, staring after her.... Sandra feels something strange an uneasy, restless feeling creeping into her chest....
After Rose's words, Sandra can't shake off the unease setting in her chest. "You will understand when it happens to you." the sentence replays in her mind like an echo, growing at her thoughts even as she walks back to class_____
