Chapter 104 - Requesting A Chance For An Intense Magical Training

Ever since the return of their beloved daughter, the Ordan's household has embraced the serene atmosphere within the inside. Both the parents, Nogra and Hona spent their joyful time on the dining table with the wooden-chair projection, folding the tiny chunk of spaghetti on the holographic plate and chewing it.

However, they slowly painted their reluctant furrows, especially when the old couple darted their stares on a particular spot. They raised their eyebrows at the empty seat in the middle, quickly swallowing the spaghetti immediately. Then, Nogra rotated his concerned eyebrows, clearing his throat.

"Is Candila still busy with something related to the Superhero stuff?" Nogra asked, washing the sauce remain on his lip.

Hona sighed, "I believed so."

"To be fair, it was an urgent thing as she told me one of her allies needed her aid," Hona mentioned.

"I know, I know," Nogra replied, grabbing the water being contained inside the holographic glasses.

"If this current problem gets worse, it's okay for her to end this break time earlier, Hona," Nogra declared.

Hona dropped her jaw in disbelief as she centered her focus on her husband, who persistently expressed his worry on his face. Nonetheless, she expressed her assured look at Nogra and crossed her arms, blowing a large chunk of hefty air from her lungs as she prepared a neat response.

"I'm surprised you will be the one who says this," Hona uttered, painting her impressed look at her husband.

"I thought you were more the type of person who is against the Superhero thing," Hona muttered, shaking her head and chuckling.

"Now you are the one who proposes to encourage her," Hona added, sipping the tiny drop of water from her glasses.

Nogra grinned. "Looks like I changed my perception after that kidnapping incident."

"I'm so foolish to realize this….now, honey," Nogra professed blissfully, shaking his head and whistling.

"Sometimes, it's better late than never at all," Hona assured. "Also, our daughter is much more open with us now."

Nogra giggled, "True, Hona."

Meanwhile, inside the room with the white door that was decorated by a glossy holographic poster of Prila cheerfully smiling, Candila stood in front of the windows and painted an anticipative glare. She stitched her pink case phone on her left ear, engaging in the ongoing conversation

"So, Gdark hasn't returned home yet?" Candila asked, tightening her phone as she caught a raspy breath from her crush's father.

"I'm afraid so," Cantos's bitter voice echoed from the phone. "The last time I saw him, he was recovered from his healing chamber."

"And he suddenly decided to go into another dimension or something like that," Cantos added uneasily. "Most likely, he couldn't tolerate the humiliating loss against The Infamous Pendoswing."

Candila cleared her throat and spun her finger, "No wonder he chose to ask Scrap Devil to rescue me."

"Wait, I thought he went out to rescue you from Amalia Galastar?" Cantos asked in a little flare of confusion.

"Apology to say this, he didn't come to rescue me," Candila answered. "Instead, he asked one of my colleagues to do it."

"I'm pretty sure your son is aware Pendoswing will interrupt his path, Mr Cantos," Candila assumed.

"You meant, Pendoswing was also involved in Galastar's scheme, or the other escape villains too?" Mr.Cantos blurted out a question frantically.

Candila gulped. "Truthfully, yes. Mr Cantos."

"All of the rescued villains were just part of Pendoswing's sick game," Candila assumed coldly, emanating the pinkish flashes in her eyes as she lifted her neck and glanced at the windows.

"Sadly, banishing him only raised his thrill of battle and conflict," Candila murmured regretfully.

Cantos grunted, "That damn….cosmic being."

"By the way, thank you for updating all of this information," Cantos said, constantly exhaling a large chunk of air from his throat.

"If my son returned to his lab, I will…inform you as fast as possible, Prila," Cantos remarked.

Candila nodded gladly. "Thank you very much, Mr.Cantos."

The call between Candila and her crush's father was over when the noise blitz drummed into her ears, forcing her to withdraw her phone. Afterward, she placed her phone on the small square table beside her left and blinked out any traces of the pinkish gleams in her eyes, rotating her stare to the door.

"Gdark, Gdark," Candila murmured, sniggering. "I believed Pendoswing beat you so hard that you decided to travel to Langorold."

"Or you're just being consumed by your obsession," Candila added, shrugging it off.

Candila shook her head and sheepishly chuckled, "Either way, I hope you didn't take another 10 years to return."

Candila switched her intrigued stare to the dark purple owl-head pendant being tangled with a golden chain hanging on the left side of her wall, stroking her left arm. She raised her eyebrows, the longer pointing her focus at the pendant, spotting a tiny white flash flicker within the pendant's reflection.

"Maybe…I have to meet Grandma Zigrun tomorrow," Candila mumbled, darting her hesitant furrow.

"Even though this is still my break period, the world is now at stake, especially with many dangerous criminals being freed, that bastard Succubus," Candila bickered.

Candila puffed in uncertainty, "Perhaps, the wonderful time with my parent will be ended shortly."

"Hopefully, Grandma Zigrun still wanted to train me," Candila uttered, clenching her knuckle and closing her eyes shortly.

Around few seconds had passed, Candila finally walked out of her room and joined the family dinner by occupying the empty seat and resting her tired back on the chair, pinning her jolly expression toward her parents. She nodded before grabbing the fork and spoon from the table.

"Sorry, Mom and Dad, for being late," Candila uttered an apology, bowing her head humbly to her parent.

Hona fluttered, "It's alright, Candila."

"I knew you were probably busy with the Superhero stuff, especially with the horrific thing that happened in Talosnis," Hona mentioned. "Thank god you're Superhero friends managed to save those citizens."

Candila giggled, "Yeah, they are truly reliable."

"Anyway, did you call one of your colleagues?" Nogra proposed a question to her daughter, luring her to raise one of her eyebrows.

Candila hummed, "Oh….I just had a call with Gdark's father to know what exactly happened to his son."

"Why did you still calling with the arrogant asshole who left you 10 years ago?" Hona asked, flinching in frustration.

Candila puffed, "To be fair, I called him mainly because I hope he could build a new, effective device."

"Anotherworldly device that might be suitable for either ending the Pendoswing's threat or possibly boosting my power," Candila proclaimed.

"Sadly, he wasn't here…again," Candila bickered, boiling a spiteful furrow on her face and hissing.

"Seriously, you need to move on from that man. He is not reliable in the first place," Hona shared some advice to her daughter.

Candila rolled her eyes and explained, "I knew you might hate to hear this, Mom, but without two of his advanced devices in my head, I could have been killed by Amalia Galastar back then."

"You sure it's his device that suddenly gave you an extra power to fight? Even the broadcasting thing you suddenly projected is also from him?" Hona was baffled, gritting her teeth.

Candila nodded reluctantly, "Sadly, yes, Mom."

"Ah…wow… I-I still couldn't believe it," Hona groused. "Like, wow this man is questionable."

"That's Gdark for you," Candila asserted, rubbing the line of her hair on the left side and merrily smiling.

"At least, he was one of the largest contributions in my Superhero life," Candila clarified boldly.

With disbelief shrouding her thoughts, Hona hastily swirled her fork to fold the spaghetti, quickly biting and chewing it. Nogra glanced at his wife, who was still busy consuming her spaghetti, which only left around four small meatballs on the plate, before turning his disquieted expression toward his daughter.

"With your, ex couldn't help you now, do you have any other plans to think of?" Nogra let out another question.

Candila lifted her neck, "I do have it, Dad."

"Which is, I'm going to visit Grandma Zugrin again to explore more of my potential," Candila said rigidly, standing up and scanning her father, who blew a large chunk of unnerving air.

"Is…your current power enough to stop The Pendoswing?" Nogra argued.

"Unfortunately, no. Pendoswing's current power is even stronger than the rest of the heroes in Teldrium combined," Candila exclaimed.

"And that's why I have to return to Grandma Zugrin for this," Candila uttered, drawing her knuckle.

Candiila painted her resolute glare at her father, "So, father, I'm very sorry, will you let me go there tomorrow, despite this still being in my break time?"

Nogra blew an impressed whistle, gawking at his wife, who puckered her lips in contentment and sedately closed her eyes. Regardless, Nogra stood up from his seat and fixed his expression filled with pride onto his daughter, approaching her. He coughed shortly, landing his palm onto his shoulder.

"This time, I will permit you to do your Superhero duty, my baby girl," Nogra confirmed joyously.

"A-a-are you sure, dad?" Candila stuttered.

"Yes, because the world now needs you especially with this Pendoswing's gotten worse," Nogra mentioned affirmatively.

"Having you here is wonderful, but I would not forbid you to do your responsibility again, daughter," Nogra confessed.

"This is the only way I can do to become a good and reliable father to you.," Nogra avowed. "And I promise will keep it."

"Oh god…oh god," Candila whimpered in amazement, quickly jumping and hugging her father as tight as possible.

"I never thought you would say this right in front of me!!" Candila added, shutting her teary eyes in wamrfulness as her father also hugged her back.

"Thank you…Thank you very much, Dad, thank you!!" Candiila repeatedly thanked her beloved father.

"You're welcome, my sweet baby girl," Nogra uttered, gently patting on the back of her neck and broadening his smile proudly.

"I also promise that I will not die in the upcoming battle against Pendoswing. I-I promised!!" Candila swore adamantly, freeing her eyes that brimmed with a radiant pinkish ray.
