Chapter 94 - Showcasing The True Potential of The Gauntlet

With the ground nearby crumbling down, The Alien Leader speedily dashed onto Omnugorg, who projected a new navy blue arrow. Under the ruined ground, two hideous creatures, bison-headed creatures with snake limbs, leaped out and chased Daigrun VII by gusting a rapid black smoke from their backs.

Spotting the two hideous creatures caught up on him, The Alien Leader radiated an emerald ray of light rotating on its surroundings. Without hesitation, Daigrun VII paused the pace of his swing and hurled his gauntlet behind him, summoning a giant net construct and conveying it to the creature.

The two hideous creatures hastily unbridled their jaws and combusted a pair of humongous smokes onto the incoming net construct. The giant net construct might be vaporized by the smoke, but it couldn't resume its expansion as the cerulean wave blistered. The wave incinerated the smoke, alerting the two creatures to flee.

However, their attempts to escape were futile with the cerulean's wave expansion tangling their entire body expeditiously. Recognizing the creatures' motion was concealed, The Alien Leader hauled his gauntlet. It triggered a storming wind wave that absorbed every streaming flow from the creatures.

Each time the wind was sunk into the gauntlet, the dizzier the hideous creatures became as their eyes twitched tiredly, feeling their entire limbs were numb. At last, the two creatures trembled to the ground after their life energies were drained by the bronze gauntlet from Daigrun VII.

The Alien Leader withdrew his gauntlet, clenching his knuckle to diminish the cerulean cloth on his foes. Regardless, Daigrun VII returned his attention to The Non-Human Slayer and panted in shock, noticing his sworn enemy was no longer available. Instead, The Alien Leader encountered a giant bluish arrow glided in front of him, nearing to land a fatal pierce on his forehead.

In a nick of luck, The Alien Leader spread his singular wing and bounced him to the left, evading the impending arrow strike. The arrow assault was not finished as Daigrun VII detected two blood-red arrows being fired off from Omnugorg who landed on the arrow-shaped building's top on the left. Daigrun VII imminently jabbed the blood-red arrow with his gauntlet.

Sadly, the other arrow speared him to his left shoulder, flinching in pain before forcibly snatching it. Capturing the green blood dripping off from his shoulder, The Alien Leader tossed the red arrow away. Then, he poked his wounded shoulder with his gauntlet that glistened an emerald ray of light on its puffer fish-like fingers.

The Non-Human Slayer heedfully perceived his prey extracted the flowing crimson liquid by trapping it with the slimy emerald net. Omnugorg panted skeptically especially when The Alien Leader drew his gauntlet to disintegrate the net alongside the liquid. Vibrating distressed even quivered his grip on the arrow, stepping backward.

"Trying to poison my limb again?" The Alien Leader guessed, clearing his throat and kicking the air below that catapulted him closer toward Omnugorg. "Luckily, I knew how to prevent it."

"Especially thanks to this gauntlet," Daigrun VII proclaimed, tapping his gauntlet as he hovered closer to The Non-Human Slayer.

The Alien Leader resiliently sighed and blared, "The same gauntlet that you tried to insult, Omnugorg!!"

Omnugorg gulped and faintly held his bow, booting his boot frantically the closer his opponent reached his direction. Furthermore, The Non-Human Slayer flustered his shuddering hand, popping five bluish arrows and attaching them to his bow. He hesitantly set his bow's target to the speeding Daigrun VII, transitioning the five arrows' color into blood-red.

The Non-Human Slayer frowned, The hell, he can now extract my paralyzing poison without any effort?

Also….his gauntlet just one-shotted all of Phytorius Bison easily/ The Non-Human Slayer added.

Omnugorg grumbled and spun his boot onto the bone surface. Okay then, it's time to count on a Harpias Raccoon.

Unless I have to use the weapon…I hated the most. Omnugorg gazed at his trembling right arm and sneered. 'I couldn't believe this Morgozoid now fighting with me one on one. I thought he was going to rely on VWX.'

"Awaken from your deep sleep..." The Non-Human Slayer whispered, firing the five arrows above when Daigrun VII propelled his gauntlet to clutch on his face.

Omnugorg gushed the hefty air and finished his chant, "And march your rampage, Harpias Raccoon!!"

Suddenly, a spontaneous black wormhole surfaced in the middle of the bone-shaped arrows, pulling out a hardened liquid and a giant black raccoon-headed creature with an eagle body from its dept. The giant creature might try to headbutt The Alien Leader, but he soared to the sky above, cleanly dodging its strike.

At the same time, The Alien Leader recently obtained the emerald cloth after tributing the pinkish gleam on his gauntlet's fingers. A clean opportunity for Omnugorg's swift escape was compelled especially by leaping into the opened portal while lifting his knuckles being filled with three red spikes.

The three spikes vanished without traces as The Non-Human Slayer drowned deeper into the portal that faded. Although the five arrows hushedly reappeared behind Daigrun VII's neck, all of them were intercepted from the green net being dispatched by hurriedly dangling its gauntlet to the left.

Not only was the emerald net disintegrated, but it awakened the flooding cerulean wave that petrified the arrows' motions. Omnugorg squealed in unrelenting panic, especially with The Alien Leader marking his gauntlet to the sky, extricating the storm of wind from the shrouding wave.

Therefore, all the arrows alongside the wave were vanquished immediately, leaving The Non-Human Slayer to blow a large chunk of air from his throat. Daigrun VII retrieved his gauntlet when the absorbing process was completed, shutting his eyes pleasantly as he placed it below his chin.

Omnugorg pointed his fingers and stuttered, "Wh-wha–what the hell is going on?"

"Wh-why he could absorb my barrage arrow too with his gauntlet," The Non-Human Slayer mumbled.

"I thought he rarely used this kind of power, especially in the last encounter," Omnugorg bickered.

"I-I-I even remembered that I almost kill him if it wasn't for those Triumph assholes back then," The Non-Human Slayer murmured, inspecting at his bounty target and whimpering in despair.

Omnugorg repeatedly sighed. "Shit…look's like I'm the one who is in trouble."

The Alien Leader jeered and gave a sarcastic warning. "You shouldn't try to call out my past in the first place."

"Thanks to your mocking, I've become more confident in using the power of the gauntlet," Daigrun VII exclaimed delightfully, locking his sight to the back and gripping the sea lion tail with his gauntlet.

"Especially to one of your daughter's favorite bizarre creatures," The Alien Leader muttered firmly.

He fixated his watchful glare on the new giant creature,e evaporating all the hardened liquid by folding its eagle wings to the front. It unveiled its true form as it fluttered the coal-black eagle wings with a pair of massive and striking maroon-red lines on its back. A large mass of skeletal heads compacted into the creature's body

It even streamed wild red smoke from the skeletal eyes, persuading The Alien Leader to compress his sea tail. Daigrun VII also furrowed at the red-furred, ravenous raccoon head that had an amber spine bone stitched on the top. Pulsating red sparks beamed within the creatures's holed eyes.

"Harpias Raccoon, finish this guy off now!!" The Non-Human Slayer shouted frantically, pointing his finger at Daigrun VII.

The Harpias Raccoon resounded its ear-piercing growl, gathering a crimson bolt from its fangs. Hence, the creature repeatedly shoved its head, ejecting the streaking lightning strings to The Alien Leader. The presence of lightning didn't flick any urgency within Daigrun VII as he bowed his head, ordering the singular bug wing to thresh downward.

The Alien Leader swiftly sprinted, effortlessly evading the two lightning bolts. Moreover, his rising speed allowed him to reach The Harpias Raccoon's front sight, which growled in frenzied, unstably swaying its wind. The creature flung away from its foe, recharging more crimson bolts in its mouth fangs.

"You poor creature already fell into my trap," Daigrun VII mentioned boldly, transferring the radiating pinkish gleam through his seal's tail.

The Alien Leader yanked his seal tail and flexibly elongated itself the longer it brimmed a pinkish gleam from his gauntlet, chasing the fleeing creature. Despite the raccoon trying to fleet, the lengthened seal tail lashed its stomach, emanating the cerulean cloth that instantaneously sealed its motion from moving further.

With the raccoon creature desperately screeching, The Alien Leader retrieved his seal tail until it reverted to its default size. Daigrun VII drew his bronze gauntlet and blistered a storming wind's flow from the cerulean cloth, draining the creature's essence as its screeching voice became lower.

Finally, the raccoon creature screamed its last roar after a large wind was absorbed into the bronze gauntlet. The Alien Leader relaxedly revolved his gauntlet onto his chest, gesturing a crushing grip to end the absorption. The giant creature immediately descended to the ground, falling into an unconscious state.

"Still want to continue this fight, Omnugorg?" Daigrun VII taunted, locking his sight on The Non-Human Slayer.

The Non-Human Slayer grunted and cursed, "Oh shit."

"You just defeated one of my favorite creatures with a single blow of your weird gauntlet?" Omnugorg muttered in disbelief and argued. "The last time I encountered, you couldn't even do this kind of crazy trick."

"Must be you continuously training with that gauntlet?" The Non-Human Slayer asked, pointing his bow at the puffer fish gauntlet.

Daigrun VII rolled his neck from left to right and cleared his throat, "Not just training, but bonding with it."

"Ever since you called out my past, of course I wanted to show it to you," Daigrun VII added.

"Bonding with a weapon? Sounds ridiculous even by your standard," The Non-Human Slayer was baffled, hindering his hand to the back and gathering the flourish bluish spark on his palm.

"Sometimes, we must sacrifice our loved one to be better!" The Non-Human Slayer declared, lifting his bow boldly.

"And yes, I did sacrifice my daughter's life to gain this versatile power," Omnugorg admitted, bursting a delighted laughter and continuing his statement with a somber voice. "Because sadly…she wasted her gift.

"My daughter, Arlaca, only desires to become a stupid normal girl despite she was born with great potential," The Non-Human Slayer bickered, materializing a new navy blue arrow.

Daigrun VII groaned in boiling rage and countered, "More correctly, you took her life because you are desperate to find an efficient weapon."

"An efficient weapon to continue your twisted job!!" The Alien Leader blurted out, shaking his head in disgust. "You're just a cruel and selfish monster who himself is disguised as a human."

"As a bounty hunter, my true power is not….suitable for an effective bounty killing," The Non-Human Slayer exclaimed, placing his newest arrow beside the bow and rocketing the blood-red particles on its back.

With The Non-Human Slayer slowly pulling the blood-red arrow, Daigrun VII slid his wing to the left and exhaled a constant hefty air from his throat. Nonetheless, The Alien Leader briskly soared to Omnugorg, vanishing his presence as if he had ceased to exist. A petrified pant was gushed from The Non-Human Slayer, forcing tugging the arrow closer to his left shoulder.

Did he just use his tributed gauntlet to disappear like that. The Non-Human Slayer winced, surveying his bow from every direction, especially for the attempt to spot his enemy's whereabouts.

Suddenly, The Alien Leader emerged behind Omnugorg, driving his gleaming gauntlet onto the back of his foe's neck, instantly transitioning its pinkish color into a shiny emerald. In frigid dread, The Non-Human Slayer spun his bow to his sworn enemy, freeing the newest red arrow from his grip. The counter-attack failed miserably as Daigrun VII hastily summoned a gliding net projection that sprawled to the arrow, halting its motion from fleeing further.

"And you've already fallen into my trap too, Omnugorg!!" The Alien Leader asserted, thrusting the gauntlet forward.

Omnugorg panted. "What the?"

"It's time for you to witness the true might of Aigran X's gauntlet!!" Daigrun VII shouted gloriously.

The net projection instantaneously lengthened itself to constrict Omnugorg who failed to leap back, puffing a tiresome air as he eyed The Alien Leader who snatched the tip of the net with his other hand. Afterward, Daigrun VII bestowed his puffer fish gauntlet on the top of the net, radiating a glistening flash onto his face.

"So you didn't use the gauntlet on the weird bug wing?" The Non-Human Slayer guessed, noticing the bug wing rest.

"Of course, I trained my wing too especially after the last encounter with The Infamous Pendoswing," Daigrun VII remarked.

Daigrun VII chuckled joyfully and sighed, "Seem you are shocked seeing your enemy like this?"

"Don't worry, this trap will be harmless for you, Rotten Bounty Hunter!!" The Alien Leader warned.

The Alien Leader pounded his puffer fish gauntlet to the net, decimating the construct into cerulean wave-sleeved onto Omnugorg's limb. Daigrun VII hauled his puffer's fish gauntlet when he spotted his enemy shackled by the wave. Massive gale gusted from the sealed opponent and promptly sucked into the bronze's gauntlet.

With more wind being fueled into The Alien Leader's gauntlet, Omnugorg's legs began to faintly tremble. Dizziness stung his head as The Non-Human Slayer felt his hands shiver like a person being washed by a blizzard. Even his eyes became blurred, recognizing the blood-red arrow diminished without remains.

Gazing at his weakened opponent one last time, The Alien Leader propelled his knuckle upward. The puffer fish gauntlet unleashed the firework of the pinkish spark that evoked the wild gale to rally from Omnugorg, stealing most of his energy as the bow splintered into dust and he blew a sore air from his throat.

Eventually, The Alien Leader initiated his crushing grip on the gauntlet to incinerate the firework spark above after acquiring the last energy wind from his foe. The engulfing cloth on Omnugorg ceased, allowing him to tumble like a drunk person. Every The Non-Human Slayer's limbs numbed, feebly rubbing the ground.

"No need to panic as you only lost your power temporarily, Omnugorg," The Alien Leader assured, waggling his gauntlet from up to down. "Moreover, you can still speak."

"Alright, let's start with the important question. Where is your client and the other escapees?" Daigrun VII declared the prudent investigation.
