[Mini Story: Sonic, Wendy and the baby part 1]
These events take place after Fairy Tail returned to Magnolia following the Eclipse Gate incident.
Lucy was looking at the mission board, but she found nothing interesting. She sat at a table where Erza, looking worried, was deep in thought.
Lucy: Hi Erza, is something wrong?
Erza: Yes, it's about Wendy. She doesn't seem well.
Lucy: Is she sick? What's wrong with her?
Erza: She keeps vomiting lately, and she often has a fever and stomach pain.
Lucy: That's strange, I hope she's okay.
Erza: Where are the boys?
Lucy: They left on a mission early this morning.
Carla entered the guild and joined the girls.
Lucy: Hello Carla, how is Wendy?
Carla: Her fever has gone down. She's bedridden, and I also gave her nausea tablets.
Lucy: We should ask Levy what's going on. Maybe she knows something about illnesses.
Erza: If her condition keeps worsening, we'll go see Polyussica.
The girls went to the guild's library and found Levy sitting and reading books.
Lucy: Levy, we need your help!
Levy: Hi girls! What's wrong, Lucy?
Lucy: We're looking for an illness that causes nausea, fever, and stomach pain.
Levy (placing a hand on her chin): Hmm... wait, I'll check.
She took another book and looked through its contents. Suddenly, she started blushing.
Lucy: Levy, what's wrong?
Levy: Uh... it's difficult to explain...
Carla: What is it?
Levy: Uh... you're going to laugh, but I think Wendy is pregnant.
Lucy, Erza, and Carla (shocked): PREGNANT?!
They screamed so loudly that the entire guild heard them.
Lucy (panicking): Y-you're s-sure???
Erza (blushing): Wendy? Pregnant?
Carla (shocked): That's... that's impossible! How did this happen? Who did this?
Only one name crossed the minds of the three girls.
Lucy, Erza, and Carla: Sonic!!!
Sonic: Did someone call me?
Sonic appeared behind them with Natsu, Happy, Chip, and Gray.
Natsu: We're back!!!
Gray: We heard you screaming from upstairs. Is everything okay?
Erza: Lucy, give me your whip!
Lucy: Huh?
Erza: Just give it to me!
She handed her the whip, and Erza quickly tied up Sonic, wrapping him up like a sausage while their friends watched in confusion.
Sonic (panicked): Huh?! Erza, what are you doing?
Carla (angry): We're the ones asking questions here! Why did you get Wendy pregnant?
Natsu, Happy, Chip, and Gray: What?!
Sonic: What?! No, I never did that. (smirking) Well, not yet.
Carla: Don't you realize she's young?!
Erza: Calm down, Carla. I know a very good way to make him regret doing this to Wendy.
Chip: Sonic, did you really do this?!
Natsu: So Wendy is going to lay an egg?
Erza knocked Sonic out with a hit to the head and took him away.
Lucy: Uh... Erza, where are you taking him?
Erza: I'll take care of him.
Her expression was so dark that no one dared to question her further...

Sonic's POV
Two days had passed since the Eclipse Gate incident. The city was still under reconstruction, and today, the king had invited all the mages to a royal banquet.
All the guilds that participated in the Grand Magic Games were present. I was dressed in a stylish black suit, and I had customized one of my shoes to match the outfit. I was closely following Chip because I already knew that if there was a buffet, he would definitely devour it all. I was searching for him in the grand hall, but I couldn't find him.
The girls made their entrance into the room, and speaking of entrances... I also noticed that Natsu wasn't here. That was odd. The girls were really well-dressed, but my eyes were drawn to a small girl. She wore a white dress with black borders and green ribbons tying her hair.
Wendy (approaching me): S-so... how do I look?
Me (amazed at the sight of my girlfriend): I-I... it's... actually...
I slapped my cheeks hard to snap out of it.
Wendy: Are you okay?
Me: Argh, sorry, Wendy. You're so beautiful that I can't help but stutter.
Wendy (blushing): Ah, t-thank you... you too... your suit... it looks good on you.
Me (taking the opportunity to tease her): Well, it looks like I'm not the only one dazzled tonight.
Wendy (embarrassed): That's... that's not what you think...
Me: Oh no...
Wendy: What's wrong?
Me: Oh, uh, nothing! Look over there, it's Chelia!
I saw someone behind her gulping down an entire bowl of fruit juice. As soon as Wendy turned her back, I rushed forward before Chip could even drink it.
Me: No, Chip! We're waiting for the king!
Chip (annoyed): But we've been waiting for hours!
Me: It hasn't even been an hour since we started. Hold yourself back!
Chip floated and lay on my head, looking famished as if he hadn't eaten since this morning. We approached the group of girls when I saw Yukino meeting her former guildmates.
Yukino: I... I think I shouldn't have come...
Sting: No, wait, please don't go! We want you to come back!
Yukino (confused): Come back?
Sting: The master and Miss Minerva are gone now, and we've decided to rebuild the guild—a whole new guild.
I noticed that Yukino was wearing Shadow's ring on her right arm.
??? If it's a new guild with good morals, I don't see why she would refuse.
We looked around, but we saw no one.
Me: Wait, but that's...?
Sting: Is he alive??
Yukino: Shadow?!
Lucy: Look up there!
We all looked at the chandelier and saw Shadow hanging from it. He descended before us, wearing a black suit similar to mine but with the same shoes he usually wears.
Me: Dude, seriously?! How did you survive such an explosion?
Shadow: Don't forget, you're looking at the Ultimate Life Form.
Yukino (emotional): Shadow... you're alive...
She was about to jump into his arms, but someone beat her to it.
Chelia (crying): Shadow!!!
Shadow fell to the ground with Chelia in his arms, rubbing her face against his.
Chelia: I was so scared when they told me you were dead! I was so sad for these two days that I even thought of joining you in heaven.
Shadow: Huh?! No, but what do you want from me? Let me go!
Wendy (chuckling): Chelia, you can let go now. I think he got the message.
He got up with Chelia still clinging to his left arm.
Me: How did you stop the planet from exploding?
Shadow (still trying to get away from Chelia): I teleported the planet to Mobius, which prevented it from exploding. Then, due to a lack of energy, I ended up landing on Mobius. It took me a day to recover, and I came back this morning… No, seriously, will you let me go?
Chelia: If I let you go, you'll just leave again!
Lucy (snickering): Oh, this reminds me of another girl who said the same thing at Chao Garden.
Wendy, realizing she had done that, covered her face to avoid seeing our reactions.
Shadow (looking at Yukino): Anyway, are you joining the guild or not?
Yukino (hesitant): Well, I…
Kagura: Wait a minute! If she's going to join a guild, it should be Mermaid Heel!
Erza: No, she'll join Fairy Tail! That way, we'll have an amazing Celestial Spirit Mage duo!
All the other guilds started arguing over Yukino, while she began to cry.
Mirajane: You don't have to cry about this.
Yukino (wiping her tears): No, it's just that I'm happy to know that everyone wants me.
Shadow (angry): They made you cry...
Having finally freed himself from Chelia, Shadow was about to launch a Chaos Spear when Yukino panicked and stepped in front of him.
Yukino (panicked): No, no, no! Calm down, Shadow! I'm fine!!!
Shadow: But you're crying because of them!
Yukino: No, I'm crying from happiness!
Shadow: Happiness? That's possible?
Me: There are a lot of things you don't know, but you'll understand them over time—especially since you care about her.
Shadow: What makes you think I care about her?
I pulled out a green orb, similar to Chip's, and it glowed in my hand. Then, voices could be heard.
Me: But seriously, do you care about her?
Shadow: Of course, I care about her!
The orb stopped glowing. Everyone turned their gaze toward Shadow, and Yukino looked like she was about to cry again.
Shadow (angry): You dared?!
Rogue: That's surprising—Shadow actually cares about someone?
Sting (smirking): Wow, the great Shadow has feelings for someone!
Me: We're talking about the same Shadow who said he'd marry her if he were the same age as her.
Shadow (blushing in embarrassment): SHUT UP!!!
He didn't even dare to look Yukino in the eyes out of shame.
Yukino (crying even more tears of joy): I'm going back to Sabertooth!
On one side, there were cheers; on the other, there was Chelia on all fours, disappointed, while Wendy tried to comfort her.
Chelia: Shadow already loves someone!? Love is beautiful, but it's also painful…
Wendy: Don't worry! Besides, she's too old for him, so you still have a chance.
Chelia (standing up): You're right—I still have a chance!
Chelia stared at Shadow so intensely that, realizing what she was about to do, he teleported away.
It was now time for the king to make his entrance. We all looked toward the balcony and saw Natsu stepping out, wearing royal attire and a crown.
Natsu: Bow before your new ruler!!!
We all froze in shock. Out of all the idiots on Earth, he was the one chosen as king? If this were real, I would have left the kingdom.
Gray (facepalming): Okay, who gave him a crown?
Lucy: Natsu, you're embarrassing us.
Me: I'm sure he tied up the real king somewhere in the palace.
Wendy: Natsu, get down from there right now!
Timeskip : After the festivities at the royal palace, Shadow was granted freedom and wasn't imprisoned. The next day, the Team Natsu and I were preparing to leave.
Erza: Is everyone ready?
Gray: Yeah, but where are Wendy and Carla?
Wendy: We're back!
Carla: Two members of the Hungry Wolves helped us get this cart for the trip back.
Natsu (terrified): Wait… you mean we're going back in that thing?!
Me: We're in for a long, very long journey.
Natsu (collapsing to his knees): Noooooo!
Erza: Oh, come on! Can't you just make an effort and face your fear once and for all?
Happy: Wendy, can't you cast your anti-motion sickness spell on him?
Wendy (hiding her face in her hands): I'm sorry… I used up all my magic reserves. I can barely cast a single enchantment.
Natsu (angry): You know what? Erza is right—I'm going to overcome this motion sickness once and for all!
We all got into the cart. The moment the horse started moving, both Natsu and I collapsed to the floor.
Lucy: Natsu, Sonic, are you guys okay?
Gray: I get why Natsu is like this, but you?
Me: I don't feel so good… Maybe I ate too many Chili Dogs yesterday…
The cart hit a bump, and I suddenly felt nauseous.
Erza: Don't tell me you get motion sickness too?!
Me: What?… No, that's impossible… I love transportation…
My face had turned green. I covered my mouth with my left hand, trying not to throw up.
Chip: You've gotten stronger too!
Lucy: What do you mean?
Chip: Dragon Slayers get motion sickness when their magic exceeds a certain limit. I think that's what happened to Sonic.
Carla: So Wendy isn't strong enough yet?
Chip: I guess not.
Gray: It did happen to him once when we fought Racer, but he was fine on other vehicles afterward.
Wendy, feeling a little down, looked at her chest.
Wendy: Don't worry! I'll have a big chest soon!
Lucy: Uh… I don't think that's the kind of strength we're talking about.
Gray: I have an idea.
He grabbed Sonic and threw him out of the cart.
Lucy: Gray, what the heck?! Why did you throw him out?!
Gray: Well, at least he feels better now. Look.
I was walking beside the cart as if nothing had happened.
Erza (surprised): You're already fine?
Me: Yeah, of course. I recover quickly anyway.
Gray: If you want, we can throw Natsu out too.
Lucy: No way!
After long hours of suffering for Natsu and relaxation for me, we finally arrived at the guild, which had been rebuilt by the mayor of Magnolia to congratulate us for winning the Grand Magic Games.
Shadow's POV
The guild had been calm for a while. Sting had become the new master, and Yukino was back with us. I was quietly looking at the mission board when I saw a mission that shocked me.
Me (placing the request on the table where Rogue and Frosch were sitting): Is this kind of mission normal?
Rogue looked at the request.
Rogue: Normally, these are special missions for S-rank mages. This one comes from an organization created by the Magic Council: G.U.N.
Yukino: G.U.N.?
Yukino sat down as soon as she heard the name.
Me: You know about G.U.N.?
Yukino: When I worked on the Eclipse Project, I heard about them. Apparently, they're an organization that handles interplanetary issues, including matters related to Mobius.
I suddenly remembered something that worried me.
Yukino: What's wrong?
Me: They're the ones... the ones who imprisoned me for 50 years before I broke free.
Yukino: Oh, I see... But why did they send a mission request?
Me: The mission involves eliminating some kind of god on Mobius. I think I could go with Orga.
Rogue: Impossible. Orga left for a mission recently and hasn't returned yet.
Yukino: I have an idea. I know another God Slayer who can help you, Shadow.
Me: Another Slayer?
Yukino: Yes, wait here, I'll contact them.
| A Few Hours Later |
Someone entered the guild, and I immediately facepalmed when I saw who it was.
Yukino: Ah, you're finally here!
Chelia: Sorry, I got here as fast as I could.
Me: Yuki, what did I do to deserve this?
Chelia: Shadow!!!
She jumped at me, but I teleported away just in time, and she fell.
Me: Why is she here?
Yukino: Well, she's the God Slayer I mentioned.
Chelia (blushing furiously): Yukino said you really needed my help because I'm the person you trust the most.
Me (raising an eyebrow): Yuki.
Yukino rubbed the back of her neck, smiling.
Chelia: So I'll do my best for us to get to know each other better during this mission.
Me: That's great!
Chelia (excited): Really?!
Me: No. I'm going alone.
Yukino: Come on, Shadow, you're really going to leave her like that?
Me: This mission belongs to Sabertooth. She's from a different guild. And she's not an S-rank mage, as far as I know.
Yukino: Yes, but the request states it's a special mission. We can be accompanied by a member from another guild, and at least one S-rank mage has to be present.
Me: We couldn't just go together instead?
Yukino: Sorry, I was about to visit Lucy. I have a problem with my keys. But at least you have a God Slayer by your side.
Me: More like a Love Slayer.
Yukino whispered something into Cherrya's ear, making her blush.
Chelia: So, are you ready for the mission, partner?
She held out her hand. I sighed before shaking it.
Me: Yes, ready for the mission, partner.
Chelia: So what's the mission about?
Me (reading the request): Secure a vial containing infinite darkness. That's it? I could've done this alone.
I threw a ring that opened a portal to our destination. I was about to enter when I saw that Chelia wasn't moving.
Me: What now?
Chelia (pouting): Usually, a gentleman lets the lady go first.
Is she serious? She really wants to lecture me about chivalry at a time like this. I picked her up bridal-style.
Chelia (blushing like a tomato): Whoa! Uh, Shadow, I didn't think you'd be this bold…
I tossed her into the portal like a sack of potatoes. I could hear her screaming as she fell somewhere.
Yukino: Shadow, make an effort. She's really trying to be your friend.
Me: She should try harder, then.
Yukino: What if you tried opening your heart to her, like you did with me?
I thought for a moment before responding.
Me: I'll try.
I jumped into the portal as it closed. This was the beginning of our first mission together.

[Sonic's POV]
I woke up, hanging upside down, still tied up like a piece of meat. Looking around, I realized I was in Polyussica's house with Erza, Lucy, Carla, Wendy, Natsu, Grey, Chip, and Happy.
Me: Okay, can someone explain what's going on?
Wendy was lying on the bed while Polyussica examined her. Meanwhile, Erza was staring at me with a club in her hand.
Erza: We're only going to ask you one question. If you want to live, answer properly.
Me: Huh??? You're scaring me—what's going on?
Carla: Is Wendy pregnant with your child?
Me: No!
Erza swung her weapon just inches from me.
Erza (angrily): I told you not to lie!
Me: But I'm serious! Okay, I admit I've done it with Wendy many times, but we always used protection, I swear!
Wendy woke up.
Wendy: Huh? What's going on?
Polyussica: Wendy, I'm going to ask you a question. Promise me you'll answer honestly.
Wendy: Okay… What is it?
Polyussica: Are you sexually active?
Silence filled the room.
Everyone except me: WHAT DO YOU MEAN, SEXUALLY ACTIVE?!
Polyussica: Quiet! I'm talking to her. Wendy, answer me.
Wendy (blushing hard): Uh… I… I think… yes…
Erza swung her sword at me multiple times, and I barely dodged by wiggling around.
Carla (furious): I bet that pervert forced her!
Wendy: Stop! Sonic would never do that! In fact… I was the one who forced him…
Everyone except me: WHAT?!
Me (completely serious): We're talking about Wendy—the same girl who wanted to have a threesome with me and Carla when we were kids.
She hid under the blanket, embarrassed.
Polyussica: By the way, Wendy isn't pregnant.
Lucy: Huh?
Polyussica: She just had an upset stomach from eating something sour.
Chip: Oh! It was the soup!
Me: The soup?
Chip: I added plums to the soup when I was cooking for the girls' dorm.
Natsu: Wait, so Wendy isn't going to lay an egg?
Grey: No, idiot. She just got sick from the plums.
Me: Chip, you KNEW Wendy hates plums, and you still gave her some???
Chip: Oops.
Me (struggling to break free): Untie me right now! Tonight, I'm turning Chip into dinner!!!
Erza: We almost killed Sonic over a sour dish?!
Polyussica: The issue is settled. Now get out of my house!
