"[Wind Ram]"
I used the wind ram spell on my back as a way to propel myself and get a sudden burst of speed.
"I don't ca-"
The lich got interrupted by the spider that began to shoot balls of its spiderweb at the lich.
"Haaaa!" I yelled as I slashed down on the skeleton boss.
My attack managed to cut the joint where his wrist and hand connect.
"[Wind Ram]"
"[Wind Scythe]"
I used wind ram on my arm to gain even more speed and strength on my attack.
The boss managed to dodge my slash, but the spider pulled its string and kept the skeleton in place.
With him being stopped for a fraction of a second, my wind scythe connected right on his ribcage.
"Get away!"
He kicked me with enough strength to send me flying far away.
The spider helped me by using its string on me and swinging me right back at the boss.
"[Wind Ram]"
I gained enough speed to crash directly on the lich's ribcage.
I gripped his ribs and attacked the boss' collarbone.
Chunks of his bones began to fly thanks to the wind infusion on my dagger acting as a make-up chainsaw.
"Get off of me!"
He grabbed me and tried to shove me away. But the spider began spinning around us, using its web to tangle us together.
The lich became angrier, which made him grab my head and land a powerful headbutt on my forehead.
The headbutt made me lose my strength, and for a moment, I felt myself almost losing consciousness.
The boney boss lifted his hand and began spinning it.
Thanks to being an undead, his body didn't need to follow the rules of the living.
Spinning his hand like a drill? Yes.
Turning his head on a three hundred and sixty degree angle? Of course.
The spider quickly untangled us and pulled me away from that attack.
Thanks to my unique passive, I stuck the landing.
"[Wind Ram]"
I launched the spell at his skull, but the lich quickly stepped to the side.
"This is what being a good person gets me!" The skeleton yelled as he rushed at us.
The spider quickly went to its hole system to keep aiding me.
As for me, once the skeleton got in front of me and threw a punch.
"[Wind Ram]"
I hit myself with that spell to get away in time.
The lich's punch ended up striking the ground.
The spider shot its string at me and pulled me to the skeleton now that he was still recovering from that attack.
"Haaaaaaagh!"
"[Wind Ram]"
"[Wind Scythe]"
I used the first spell to make me spin while being pulled by the spider.
And the second spell to create an edge around my spin that caused me to be a deadly flying projectile.
The skeleton managed to put his arm in front of him on the last second, but my spin was not stopped.
Sparks and chunks of its bones began to fly as the spider separated me from the lich.
Once I was far away, I stopped spinning and launched the wind scythe spell that was waiting to be released.
Thanks to the spinning motion I made, the scythe began curving into a circle.
"What!?" The skeleton yelled as he stepped to the side.
But the spider used its string to pull the skeleton's arm into the spell.
The now circular edge didn't stay on a single point. Instead, it began to travel through the lich's arm.
"Aaaaah" the lich cut his own arm by the shoulder joint before my spell got to his main body.
The spell began racing through the detached arm with speed.
"Aaaaagh! You made me lose my entire arm!" The lich yelled, although his skull remained as expressionless as ever.
"I knew I should've exterminated those spiders when I eliminated the queen and took over beig the boss on this dungeon!"
"So that's what happened" I looked at the spider that was poking through one of the holes.
"Pitch black darkne-"
"[Wind Ram]"
The spell hit the boss' skull, interrupting his incantation.
"Do you think I'll let a lich cast spells?"
"[Wind Scythe]"
I spun before casting the spell, making the scythe adopt a circular form.
The skeleton wanted to move, but the spider stuck his feet to the ground.
"Nooo!"
The spell hit his skull and began racing through it thanks to the motion the scythe gained.
Once the spell stopped, the lich's skull had lots of cracks where the wind scythe attacked.
"Kheurg!"
I fell to my knees and started coughing up blood.
"So that weird thing you're doing has a limit? Then I just have to stall out that weird thing!"
The skeleton began to maniacally laugh as he looked at my state.
I felt the wind infusion beginning to wear off.
The spider, understanding that I needed time, began attacking the skeleton from the holes.
"I won't fall for the same trick twice"
The skeleton ignored the spider, knowing that the monster could only support me and not cause any real damage to him.
But I began chanting the incantation regardless.
I needed to put my full faith on that spider.
"Winds of olden times, that first spread when spirits roamed the land we walk on, bless my weapon with your own blood and body"
"You won't!"
The lich threw a punch at me.
*Bam*
But the spider got in the middle and tanked the punch from the boss.
The spider used a lot of web as a net to momentarily restrain the boss.
"[Wind Infusion]"
With that spell, I felt the pain on my left thigh come back, fully waking me up.
"Thanks, spider"
"[Wind Scythe]"
My dagger traveled from the ground to the sky on an upward slash.
Starting on his hip, the dagger continued ascending until it reached the boss' ribcage.
My dagger began to break rib after rib as it kept moving up.
I cut right through his collarbone, reaching his lower jaw.
"Aaaaaagh!"
The lich yelled in pain as my dagger got stuck on his lower jaw for a second.
"[Wind Ram]"
My dagger broke through the lower jaw of this skeleton boss and began cutting diagonally through his skull.
Thanks to all the precious cracks caused by my spell, I had an easier time cutting through his skull.
"Aaaaaahh!" I yelled, trying to hype myself up as my dagger finally came out from his skull.
The momentum of my cut made me spin around and land on the ground.
"N-no... this can't be"
The lich boss used its hand to keep his skull from breaking off.
I could feel his green eyes looking down at me as my back circles began to disappear.
"You'll pay for this" he began repeating that as his black, furry coat fell off.
Now, despite the green glow he emits, he was no different from a regular skeleton.
"N-not... dead... yet" I struggled to say as he didn't seem to be injured to the death.
"Remember my name, boy. Because I'll make sure you pay for this. Remember the name of Cravesmal, the abyssal lich"
The spider pulled me away from the boss with its string.
"Shadows that lead to a realm of infinite possibilities, a realm where me and my allies can escape from danger. Envelop us in your eternal, light-devouring darkness and take us to a place where no light might reach us"
"[Dark Passage]"
Cravesmal was quickly enveloped by a pitch-black, misty darkness.
"You'll pay for this!"
Those were the last words I heard him say before he vanished, no trace left of him.
But it seems that the spell didn't transport his coat or the arm that he lost.
"I-I... I'm alive..." I said between raged breaths.
I tightly gripped the coat to not let it go, and the spider grabbed the arm bone with its mouth.
The coat softened the ground for my head as my body completely gave out.
The spider stood on my side.
And in that moment, I felt the need to say something even more important than gratitude because it helped me.
"Sorry... for trying to kill you... and those other spiders" I petted its head.
My vision was getting blurry, so I couldn't see how the spider reacted to my words.
"Thank... you..."
My vision finally followed the rest of my body, and everything turned dark.
I stopped feeling what was happening around me.
I just needed to rest... just for a minute.
_________
This human...
Despite killing most of my brothers and sisters and even trying to kill me, he finally helped me take revenge on that bastard for killing mother.
But why do I care about my siblings. Ever since we left the eggs, it was everyone on their own.
But sometimes, mother's voice calmed us.
Sometimes, mother's voice made us feel connected.
But that bastard killed mother and took her place as the strongest monster here.
That bastard took over the deepest parts and made us retreat to the upper parts.
This human is weak. He struggled to kill my siblings, he struggled to kill that bastard's followers, and he couldn't keep up with that bastard.
He was the weakest of that human group that entered here.
Yet, he was the one who defeated that bastard that killed mother.
He and I defeated that bastard, we avenged mother.
And that sound he made. While I couldn't understand what he said, I could feel a lot coming from him.
I felt how tired he was, I felt his gratitude towards me, I felt his regret over something.
That thing the bastard wore.
It's calling me.
I made sure to move this human with extreme care, as even the slightest movement could damage him.
I moved under the coat and felt myself feel warmer, I felt as if I'd enter a warm and familiar place.
Is this coat special?
If it is, then I'll make sure that this human takes it.
I'll make sure to follow this human from the inside of this coat.
