Celina's red eyes burned beneath her white bangs as she scanned the chaos one more time. Just as she thought, Thane was not among them. He wasn't here.
'Those students were after him then, was he with them? Does that mean... he's out there somewhere? Damnit!'
Celina's gaze narrowed again as she turned to the others. "Has anyone seen Thane?"
Everyone froze.
Not because of her question.
But because of the way she killed the zombie charging toward her earlier. She had used Divine Power to get rid of it without leaving a single trace. The same zombie they were trying to kill over and over again.
Another one rushed towards her. It leapt from the left. She didn't even turn her head. She simply raised her hand, palm open, and a bone dagger flew out from her system inventory, piercing through the zombie's forehead and exiting the back of its skull. The creature dropped without a sound.
