Seeing the barrage hurtling toward him, the Magus grinned.
His mana surged, a black aether erupting from within him. The air warped. The ground shivered.
CRACK!
The earth split beneath his feet, and with a deafening roar, walls of stone rose skyward in rapid succession, layered like a fortress.
At the same time, runes flared across the dome's surface, barriers forged from shadow and lightning, crackling with layered wards.
"Come then!" the Magus roared beneath the growing storm.
The first layer struck. The storm-spear of fire, ice, and lightning slammed into the dome. The outer shell buckled, blistered, and cracked, but held.
Second layer. Elemental arrows rained down. Some were absorbed by the barrier. Others pierced deep into the cracks, detonating with force that shook the dome's base.
Third. Fourth. Fifth. Each wave landed with relentless fury.
