"YOU BASTAAAARD!!"
Eric thrashed wildly, his body writhing like a worm doused in boiling water. But the ropes binding him were still too tight, and all his struggling managed to do was make him look even more pathetic.
Mira glanced at Karl with a disbelieving expression.
"Seriously?" she said flatly. "That's your joke right now?"
Karl shrugged. "What? He started it."
Eric kept screaming, his voice hoarse, filled with rage and… maybe even fear. But it sounded more like the barking of a small dog trapped in a cage—loud, threatening, but ultimately powerless.
Karl walked over and set Eric's chair back upright. Eric glared at him with pure hatred.
Cuhh…
"Wow…" Karl leaned back just in time to avoid the spit Eric launched at him. "Disgusting," Karl muttered.
Mira stood still, arms crossed, eyes locked on Karl.
Karl turned to her. "How about we move this Ugly Bastard to the room you were locked in earlier?"
