Discerning the suffocating tension in the air, driven by the feeling of death. Isadora acted quickly before things got out of control.
"Are you done with the old tunnel?" she asked, burying her shame to focus on the matter at hand.
"Yes," Logi answered. "But I've got good news and bad news." He spared a look at Kraven, who was mere seconds away from impaling him.
"The good news is... I altered the old tunnel to take us straight to Brookcrest."
"And the bad news?" Isadora asked, knowing the worst was out of the way, but something told her this bad news had nothing to do with being lost.
Logi flicked something into the air and caught it, opening his palm to reveal a nail with a rune engraved on it.
He lingered like he was trying to digest everything he found out within hours.
"I went back to the tunnel we came through and found this." A scornful chuckle breaking from him. "This does not belong to me, and the rune engraved on it is a fake."
Isadora blinked. "A fake?"
