The silence in the table was awfully loud, as the maid poured Aurora's tea with little to no attention. Both Aurora and Madeline had noticed her lack of attention in her work, yet the could say nothing because the reason was obvious. She could not stop staring at Aurora, as if there was something written on her face.
So engrossed in her staring, she did not realize that the cup was already brimming with tea and would soon over flow. No one told her either.
With an eyebrow raised under her mask, Aurora stared at the now overflowing cup, her fingers leisurely tapping the table as if nothing was amiss.
It was only when Madeline let out a faint chuckle did the girl turn towards her, and in that instant notice the mess she had created. Like a rat caught in a trap, she jumped out of her skin.
