Nicholas nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "I want that too," he said.
"I want to be a good father to him, and I want us to work together as a team."
Amber smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "I've been thinking about the deal issue," she said.
"I don't want to sabotage it anymore. I want to find a way to make it work for both of us."
Nicholas' face lit up with surprise and gratitude. "Thank you," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "That means a lot to me, and I know it will mean a lot to Ethan too."
