Chapter 7 - The First YIN

She was his stepmother, once a young bride in the Ye Clan, taken in as a concubine while her elder sister held the position of legal wife.

In those early days, she had been newlywed, full of hope, but Ye Feng—due to his severe injuries—had neglected her for more than a decade. Despite sharing the same home, she had long been left in emotional and physical solitude. Now, in Ye Xian's arms, she felt a warmth and closeness she had never known, awakening feelings she had buried deep within her heart

"And you're irresistible," he replied with a smile, nuzzling the side of her neck.

His breath brushed against her neck, and she felt her entire body heat up again. A rosy blush spread from her neck up to her ears and cheeks as she felt his hands roaming over her body.

She bolted upright, slipping from his arms with a flustered look. Quickly, she pulled on her silk underskirt, wrapped her dudou over her full breast, she wore her white robe, and tied it tightly around her waist. Her movements were quick but graceful, trying not to meet his gaze.

Even though she was stronger than Ye Xian—a late-stage Ki warrior—last night, she hadn't used any of that strength. She didn't want to hurt him. To her, Ye Xian was precious.

She was halfway to the door when Ye Xian's voice stopped her.

"Qianying… who's gonna deal with this?"

He pointed downward with a helpless grin. Her eyes followed his finger, and when she saw the "problem," her face turned crimson.

His dragon stood proudly, roaring for some action.

"Y-you little scoundrel! Deal with it yourself!" But halfway through her sentence, she remembered just how big and hard that scoundrel really was. Her cheeks flared even redder, and without another word, she turned and dashed out of his room like a startled rabbit.

This scoundrel wasn't little at all.

Ye Xian laughed softly at her retreating figure, a teasing smile on his lips. He looked down at his still-standing "dragon" and sighed with mock pity.

"Sorry, buddy. Not this morning."

He stretched, then stepped into the nearby bathing room.

Sheng Qianying was hurriedly walking out of Ye Xian's courtyard when she spotted a graceful young woman approaching from the opposite direction. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight.

"Good morning, Auntie!" Ye Ling'er chirped brightly.

"G-Good morning," Sheng Qianying replied, forcing a smile as she met the girl's curious almond-shaped eyes.

"I was just checking on Ye Xian. He wasn't home yesterday, so I wanted to make sure he was alright."

Ye Ling'er nodded in understanding. She knew this elegant aunt was one of the few people who treated Ye Xian kindly, so she didn't think much of it.

'But why did this beautiful aunt mention that? I didn't even ask her…' she thought to herself.

"Are you okay? You're walking a little… strange," Ye Ling'er remarked, tilting her head as she observed Sheng Qianying's unusually wide gait—like she was deliberately keeping her legs apart.

"It's nothing! Just a bit sore… from training!" Sheng Qianying lied, cheeks flushing as she recalled exactly what had made her so sore—namely, Ye Xian's 'big dragon' enthusiastically widening her cave entrance.

Ye Ling'er took a step forward when suddenly, her little nose twitched.

"Auntie, do you smell that? It's kinda… funny. And strong."

"N-NO!" Sheng Qianying squeaked, thighs clamping together as she felt warm liquid leaking.

'Oh no, no, no—'

With the desperation of a woman who suddenly remembered she was a Ki Warrior realm cultivator, she summoned her ki and stopped the betraying liquid from spilling further.

"Well! Lovely chat! Must go!" she blurted out, then bolted at speeds that would make a startled rabbit proud.

Ye Ling'er blinked as she watched her aunt flee. Something felt… off. But between the endless Ye family matters and her sleepless nights, she figured she was just imagining things.

"Maybe I need more rest…" she muttered, shaking her head before continuing toward Ye Xian's quarters.

.....

Sheng Qianying rushed away, her face burning red to the tips of her ears. Her heart pounded.

"That little rascal…" she muttered, clenching her teeth. "He was so rough… so careless!"

She walked faster, using her ki to hold back the liquid still trickling between her thighs. When Ye Ling'er mentioned the smell, she'd nearly panicked.

"That fool!" she huffed. "Filled me up and just… left me like this?"

Anger bubbled inside her—but so did something else. The way he'd held her… the way his touch made her feel things she hadn't felt in her life.

Her cheeks flushed even hotter. "Hmph! Next time, I'll scold him properly. Shameless brat!"

But despite her words, her steps slowed. Her mind wandered back to his warmth.

And against her will… a small smile curled on her lips.

....

After a refreshing soak, Ye Xian changed into a fresh silver robe embroidered with swords. He noticed his cultivation hadn't increased despite absorbing her yin energy, so he sat on his bed and concentrated.

He found himself in his inner world. Everything around him was gray as before when he first visited, but now a mist swirled before him with a pair beautiful golden eyes staring through it.

"Oh, hey... how are you?" Ye Xian asked, momentarily mesmerized by the golden eyes. The words tumbled out before he could think. The golden eyes continued observing him silently.

"I am still recovering. It will take some time."

"That's good. So about that yin energy I absorbed..."

Ye Xian explained how he'd taken Sheng Qianying's yin energy yet remained at the first step of the Ki Refining realm. He worried he'd made a mistake or missed some crucial step.

"Don't worry. Sheng Qianying's yin energy was absorbed into the Yin Yang formation. The formation has converted it into ki. You can absorb the converted ki with just a thought."

"That's awesome!" Ye Xian closed his eyes and willed it to happen. The Taiji formation's obsidian and moonlight fishes flicked their tails and swam - this time in reverse - releasing pure ki that streamed through Ye Xian's meridians into his dantian.

Delight filled Ye Xian as he felt his cultivation rising at astonishing speed. In moments, his first stage overflowed with ki and broke through to the second. But it didn't stop there.

2nd stage of Ki Refining realm!

3rd stage of Ki Refining realm!

Ye Xian found himself at the peak of the 3rd stage. He'd never imagined breaking through so quickly. With his normal talent, reaching the 2nd stage would have taken months, let alone the 3rd.

Ye Xian open his eyes in his bedroom and stared at his hands in shock. "How did I reach 3rd stage peak from just one night?" he muttered. If a night session with Sheng Qianying gave him this boost, what could regular cultivation do?

The spirit in his mind explained: "Two reasons. First, Sheng Qianying is at the peak of Ki Warrior realm. Second... that was her first yin release."

When Ye Xian heard this, he was stunned and confused. Then suddenly he understood. if this was truly her first yin release despite being a concubine for over ten years... it meant Ye Feng had never truly satisfied her. This realization made him feel strangely proud.

"But if that was her first yin energy release," Ye Xian muttered, "shouldn't I have broken through more stages than just reaching the third step of Ki Refining?" He frowned in confusion.

"With energy that pure, I expected a bigger improvement."

The spirit answered. "Normally, yes. But Yin-Yang Formation is different. It has its own cultivation method. Instead of simply helping you advance to the next stage, it compressed and refined the energy. This tempered your cultivation in a way most cultivators never experienced."

Before, his Ki had been like formless mist. Now, it had become thicker—almost like liquid. His foundation had become stronger, and his energy reserves had increased. But this also meant he needed much more energy to progress.

Unlike normal cultivation methods that only focus on gathering Ki to move up stages, this technique worked differently.

It didn't just help him advance—it improved the quality of his very being. Every stage he reached was much stronger than that of an average cultivator.

Even though he was only in the peak of third stage of Ki Refining, his combat strength was already beyond others at the same level.

His Ki was purer, denser, and more powerful. He could fight cultivators at higher stages without struggling.

His body had changed too. His meridians, which once were weak and narrow, had become tougher and wider. His dantian had expanded as well, now able to store much more energy.

The benefits were clear—but so was the cost. He would now need more energy, and more dual cultivation, to continue growing stronger.

When Ye Xian broke through to 2nd and 3rd stages, the warm energy spread through his entire body each time he breakthrough- muscles, tendons, even bones - making him physically stronger than cultivators at his level.

Ye Xian felt both happy and worried by this news. While excited about his physical strength, he was concerned about his slowed cultivation progress, especially since his talent was already limited.

Ye Xian remember something. He felt embarrassed as he listened the spirit explanation of Reverse Taiji. He close his eyes and again entered in his inner world.

"I've been so caught up in my own matters that I forgot the simplest courtesy..." he muttered as he looked at pair of golden eyes.

Then, looking up with a respectful gaze, he asked, "Forgive me. I never even asked your name. May I know what to call you?"
