Jack immediately backed down. "You know why Jacob is so popular with women? Because he knows how to pretend!"
Logan frowned. "I don't need other women."
"It's the same for Madam! They are all women, and the methods apply to them!"
Jack glanced around, then leaned in conspiratorially. "Sir, the first step to romance is making her feel for you. You gave her antiques, now tell her you cleared your schedule just to accompany her tomorrow. Say you canceled important meetings…"
"No."
Logan cut him off without hesitation, his tone even. "If I care about her, I won't use what I do for her as some kind of bargaining chip for pity or affection."
Jack rubbed the back of his neck. "But Jacob always does that. I mean, that's what all the dating guides say…"
Logan raised a brow, visibly unimpressed. "Have you ever been in a relationship?"
