Grey's feet barely touched the ground as he weaved through the mist, wind surging around his limbs.
A spike shot past his cheek, slicing through the air with a sharp whistle. He twisted, deflecting another with his sword—*Clang* Sparks erupted as metal clashed with steel. Then he landed smoothly, chest heaving, breaths ragged.
'This would've all been easier if I could use all my affinities… but I'm limited right here, right now,' Grey thought.
"And the difference between us is—" Grey heard Nozel's voice again and instinctively took a stance.
"I'm better and stronger than you!" The voice came from his side, and a metal-clad fist surged toward his face at terrifying speed.
Before he could react, the gauntleted blow crashed into his face, cracking his nose and lifting him clean off the ground before launching him into a tree—shattering it in two.
