Chapter 102
The long-awaited day had arrived—the day of the academy assessment. Grey had woken up early, well before his mother and Jesse, with all his belongings packed neatly in a small backpack.
He had been up for a while, quietly preparing himself, his thoughts focused on what lay ahead.
Clara and Jesse came downstairs, drawn by the soft sounds of movement in the house.
When they turned the corner into the living room, they froze, their eyes widening at the sight of Grey. He was standing there, looking different, but they couldn't place why.
"Arghhh! What the hell happened? Am I still dreaming?" Jesse's voice broke the silence as she stared at him, wide-eyed. "Who are you, and what have you done with brother Grey?"
"What do you mean? I'm Grey, you silly girl," Grey replied with a slight frown, oblivious to the confusion he was causing.
"He definitely talks and acts like him, but he's different," Jesse muttered, her eyes narrowing.
